INSPO FOR YOUR FOURTH OF JULY PARTY: A STRAWBERRY FROSE SERVED ON A PATRIOTIC BAR CART

If you’re hosting a Fourth of July backyard party this week, greet your guests with a chilled Strawberry Frosé before they head outside into your backyard. A cold and refreshing cocktail that is simply a wine slushie is a delicious way to keep cool and enjoy the festivities. We enjoyed our very first Frosé during our recent trip to DC to celebrate our anniversary. One taste and we agreed this was the summer cocktail of choice!

While the term Frosé is frozen Rosé wine, I think any fruity wine will be just as good and you can pair it with any fruit of your liking!

Decorating a bar cart in this patriotic theme to serve these delightful libations was simple to do!

  • Start off by tying five of these festive Patriotic Star Confetti Balloons on the side of your bar cart.
  • Secure this Patriotic Paper Tassel Garland to the front of the bar cart.
  • Place a vase filled with American flags atop of the bar cart.
  • Add festive beverage napkins (I found these Happy Fourth ones you see here in the clearance section at Pier 1).
  • Minutes before your guests arrive, fill your glasses up with the strawberry frosé – garnish and your done! To add a festive touch to the garnish, I used red and blue Pinwheel food picks. You can find similar options here, here, and here

Recipe type: Summer Cocktail
Serves: 6 cups
Ingredients
  • 1 Bottle of Rosé
  • 8 ounces strawberries, hulled, halved - plus more for garnish
  • ½ cup of sugar or simple syrup
  • 1-2 cups of ice
Instructions
  1. Reserve a cup of Rosé and set aside. Add all ingredients in blender and process until smooth. Add more ice for thicker slushie.
  2. Top off with a splash of Rosé serve and enjoy.
  3. Note: If you would like to make this recipe ahead of time, you can pour the Rosé in a ice cube tray, freeze overnight until solid. When you are ready to serve, blend all your ingredients and pour into glasses.
  4. If you wish not have seeds from the strawberries in your Frosé - simply puree the strawberries until smooth and then pour the mixture through a strainer and combine all other ingredients back in the blender.

Happy Fourth of July everyone!! Cheers to the long weekend!
