Recipe: FALL STRAWBERRY-FLAVORED S’MORES

Fall Party Strawberry flavored S'mores

Over the weekend, the temperature cooled down a bit and the start of leaves are falling on the ground – the beginnings of the fall season is on its way! With the season change, comes some of our favorite desserts. A most common fall treat to share with friends while enjoying the crisp outdoors in front of a bonfire is S’mores. I recreated this yummy fall favorite in a different way to enjoy indoors for all those upcoming fall birthdays.

Using strawberry-flavored marshmallows, Lindt milk chocolate and crumbled graham crackers, it’s an yummy alternative to the original S’mores recipe. It’s a perfect party treat that still has the chewy, sticky, and crunchy texture but without the mess! Use paper straws to match the color and theme of your party decor! Shown in the pictures, I used gold and white chevron paper straws, that I cut in half – it makes it easy for your party guests to grab and enjoy.

Entertaining: FALL PARTY (Strawberry-flavored) S'MORES

Recipe type: Fall Dessert
Serves: 12-16
Ingredients
  • Kraft Jet-Puffed Strawberry Mallows, 8 oz bag
  • Lindt Classic Recipe Milk Chocolate, 4.4 oz
  • Honey Maid Graham Crackers, crushed
  • Paper Straws, pattern and color of your choice
Instructions
  1. Take a clean pair of scissors and cut your paper straws in half, set aside.
  2. Open the box of Graham Crackers and take out one individual pack out of the box.
  3. Open the pack and insert the graham crackers in a ziploc bag. You can use your fist or use a rolling pin to carefully crush the crackers into crumbling pieces. (If you prefer a finely powdered consistency, you can use a blender to pulse the crackers into fine crumbs). Pour the crushed crumbs in a bowl, set aside.
  4. Take a baking sheet and line the top with parchment paper.
  5. Take one straw that has been cut in half and insert straw in the middle of each strawberry-flavored marshmallow. Place each marshmallow on top of the baking sheet.
  6. Add an inch or two of water into your saucepan.
  7. Place a heat-proof glass bowl on top of your saucepan. (the bowl should be slightly larger than the circumference of the pot). The surface of the water should be under the glass bowl; pour out some water if necessary.
  8. Break your milk chocolate bar into small pieces and insert in the heat-proof glass bowl.
  9. Bring the water to a boil over high heat. When you see the water bubbling and steam coming from the pot, reduce the heat to medium.
  10. You may want to use an oven mitt to hold one side of the bowl while you use a rubber spatula to constantly stir the chocolate until smooth and melted. Turn off heat.
  11. One at a time, dip each marshmallow into the melted chocolate and swirl around in a circular motion so that the marshmallow bottom is covered. Then dip the chocolate covered marshmallow into the crushed graham crackers and place back on top of the lined baking sheet.
  12. Note: since the chocolate can get cold and harden, you'll want to quickly prepare your Party S'mores.
  13. Once you have made all your S'mores, transfer them from the lined baking sheet to a serving platter for your guests and enjoy!

I hope I’ve inspired you to want to make these fall treats for your next party!
