THE MANY USES OF THE GOLD AND GLASS SHADOW BOX

If you’re a follower of my blog, than you are familiar with my monthly series on ‘The Many Uses’. I just love when I come across a decor accessory for the home and can envision using it in more than one way. The benefit of this is, you can repurpose a decor piece rather than buying something new. How many times do we see something in the store and don’t buy it because we think to ourselves that we already have something similar? For example, today I’m talking about The Many Uses of the trending Gold and Glass Shadow Box and while its primary purpose is to hold jewelry and/or mementoes, I found three other ways you can use this item!

THE MANY USES OF THE GOLD AND GLASS SHADOW BOX

I recently found this gold and glass shadow box at HomeGoods and I liked that it had two drawers verses the box with lid that is more popular. Like with fashion, decor accessories are also a part of the ever-changing cycle of trends. These modern shadow boxes have been inspired by the antique ones ladies used back in the day to store their jewelry or keepsakes. Since I have a drawer dedicated for my jewelry, I don’t necessarily need it for that reason. Although, I still wanted to buy it because I knew the perfect use for it!

Use #1

Whether you have a vanity or not, you can display your most used makeup in a convenient shadow box. The glass allows you to easily grab what you need and the gold frame always adds that glam factor!

Use #2

I find that when I’m working at my desk, I always enjoy having treats readily available for me to grab…chocolates are my weakness! Since this box is so pretty, I knew it would make a great complement to my well-dressed desk (when it’s not messy, that is). I get to store my favorite chocolates in the drawers, like these Ghirardelli squares. Have you guys tried their newest flavor for Valentine’s? White Chocolate Creme Brulee…obsessed!

What a great way to present your guests tea flavor options than in a gold and glass shadow box! If you are a frequent tea drinker, you can easily display this shadow box on your kitchen counter or a dining room buffet. Use a tray to curate all your tea essentials like the shadow box, your teapot, at least 4 tea cups and saucers, sugar bowl, creamer pitcher, and tea stirring spoons.

I hope I’ve inspired you to look pass what an item is intended for and how you can use it in many different ways. Below are a few shadow box options, if you’re on the hunt for one!
