Hello, dear readers! With summer coming close to an end, and my upcoming vacation to the beach (finally), I wanted to create an end-of-summer, beach-inspired tablescape. To incorporate a seasonal meal that will compliment this themed tablescape, you can head on over to yesterday’s post where I featured my fresh ‘Tropical Garlic Shrimp Salad’ recipe that I whipped over the weekend.
In order to set the tone and mood of a light and airy feel to this tabletop, the perfect backdrop was to dress the table in a stark-white tablecloth paired with classic white dinnerware, clear wine glasses and placed cream placemats to create a subtle tone-on-tone contrast. From the lanterns to the enamel flatware, touches of the color turquoise, exude relaxation to this beach-inspired tabletop design. A lush arrangement filled with garden-cut, Hydrangea paniculata was the perfect centerpiece to this tablescape. I often see these large clusters of coned-shaped flowers in the gardens of some beach houses and these beautiful blooms, showcased in a wooden bowl, added a delicate display to the finish of this table.
Hope you enjoyed this beach-inspired tablescape as much as I enjoyed creating it! Happy Summer!
