In follow-up to yesterday’s Galentine’s tablescape, I’m continuing with the theme and sharing how I styled and decorated my bar cart. Bar carts are one of those perfect entertaining pieces in a home. They are so versatile, allowing you to serve guests cocktails together with small bites, all the while keeping the essentials of ice and napkins at hand. It’s the perfect set up for entertaining.
I love any excuse to dress up my bar cart for any occasion or holiday and Valentine’s is one of them or in this case – Galentine’s day because us girls can appreciate roses, champagne, and chocolates – am I right ladies?! What better way to combine sophistication and swag. So what do you need to pull the look together? Let’s start on the top tier, shall we?
one
Flowers – nothing brightens up a vignette than that of beautiful blooms. I went with a girly palette of light and dark pink roses and peonies. I used my white milk glass vase to house the pretty flowers.
two
Pop, Fizz, Cheers! Don’t be stuck playing bartender. Why not keep it simple with a glass of bubbly. Just pop a bottle of your favorite champagne and if you like, you can add your favorite fruit juice, Chambord or any champagne mixer. Fancy up your ice bucket with a couple of rose buds.
Add festive pops of color and texture. I garnished each glass with these Valentine’s X’s and O’s gummies.
three
Roll out the sweets! Create an adorable dessert display filled with heart shaped confection, chocolates, and pink candies. For a bit of glam, I housed a couple of sweets in a decorative shadow glass box with gold metal trim. I found this shadow box at HomeGoods last year and I love that it is designed with two drawers and clear acrylic knobs.
I also used a glass dessert stand with dome top and a white milk glass pedestal footed bowl to hold the other sweet treats. As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, I found these mini heart-shaped plates at Target and they are adorable to sample a few sweets on.
For the bottom tier, I added more candy because after all isn’t Valentine’s an excuse to indulge? I also added champagne mixers.
four
Valentine’s Cocktail Napkins. Hang on to your glass with a cocktail napkin that features a charming Valentine’s design or word. I found these pale pink cocktail napkins, adorned with the word love in gold foil at TJMaxx.
five
Pretty it up with some Galentine’s day decor. A festive banner to drape on the front of your bar cart and several balloons is all you need to dress it up. I went to our local party shop and picked up these rose gold and yellow gold heart-shaped balloons and I found this xoxo banner in the Dollar Spot at Target. They really have some good stuff to choose from!
I hope you’re inspired to create your own Galentine’s styled bar cart and celebrate with your besties in the sweetest way (no pun intended)! 🙂
