Decorating Ideas: ADDING A BIT OF CHRISTMAS IN THE BEDROOM

ADDING A BIT OF CHRISTMAS IN THE BEDROOM

Hey guys! Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! After hosting this year (there was 10 of us), we took a couple of days to relax and rest before heading to the Christmas farm to pick up our tree and bringing up all of our storage bins filled with Christmas decor and ornaments. After three days, we have finally transitioned the inside of our home from fall decor to winter/holiday decor. I’m looking forward to sharing my Christmas Home Tour with you…it should go live in a couple of weeks!! You can always follow me on Instagram for a few sneak peeks (wink.)

One of the rooms that we decorated this year, is our bedroom. It is not overly decorated and it only took a few items to infuse that Christmassy feeling!

I started off by swapping out my decorative toss pillows for a large shaggy one and also added a ‘Merry’ word pillow (both purchased from Marshalls). A comfy and warm throw is placed on the bottom of the bed for those cold days when all you want to do is cozy up in bed for a little nap.

For one of the nightstands, I placed a white lacquer deer for a festive touch and I love that it coordinates so well with the rest of the bedroom decor.

I found this adorable faux tabletop Christmas tree at HomeGoods and it came in this modern glam metallic copper pot. For a little Christmas cheer, I wrapped mini led string fairy lights and hung these adorable pastel Christmas ornaments.

Of course ambiance and a fragrant scent of the Christmas holiday is must. Another find from HomeGoods is this cheeky ‘Baby it’s Cold outside’ scented candle that sits perfectly on my makeup vanity.

We made our bedroom twinkle by adding lighted garland along the top and sides of our headboard. Seeing the room glow in the evening is so magical! Infusing all of these touches in our bedroom were simple, easy, and a wonderful way to be reminded of the holiday season each time we lay our head at night or when we wake in the mornings!

Have you finished decorating for the holidays yet? Do you decorate your bedroom too? I’d love to know, share in the comments section below!
