A FEW STYLED BOOKSHELF IDEAS FOR THE EARLY FALL SEASON

Happy September, friends!  I haven’t been feeling well the past few days, hence the silence on the blog since last week Thursday (I’ll be writing a post – sharing an update on how my clinical trial is going and the challenges I’ve experienced, thus far).

I hope you all enjoyed your 3-day Labor day holiday weekend! Now that summer is unofficially over, I’ve got the autumn season on my mind. From recipes and tablescapes, to home decor and styling. I’ve been thinking how I can re-style our Etagere shelf, located in our living room by adding a few fall touches. Today, I’m sharing a few styled bookshelf ideas from other bloggers who shared how they decorated their bookshelves, for the early fall season. Bookshelf styling can be a little overwhelming and intimidating and when it comes to decorating for the season, you want to make sure your seasonal decor is not too much or overcrowding your current decor. From these inspiring ideas shown below, you don’t need much. Simple seasonal decor touches goes along way and can seamlessly pair well with your current home accessories.

Let’s take a look…

Julie Blanner added a simple dried wheat bundle to her living room bookshelf built-in. For a decorative touch, she tied a white ribbon around the wheat bunch. This textured accent paired well with the rest of her woven baskets.

Nothing says fall then with pumpkins, pear fruit, and eucalyptus. Lucy of Craftberry Bush did a great job with incorporating all these seasonal elements onto her bookshelves. I love how she was able to choose monochromatic hues that flow nicely with the rest of her living space.

Pumpkins are definitely the go-to seasonal accent to add anywhere in your home. Velvet pumpkins are still trending this year and Kelly of Wow I love that design styled them on all her shelves, grouping them with her other decor accessories. A decorative deer accent and a fall sign is a festive way to welcome the fall season.

When it comes to Kelley of Kelley Nan, she is one of my favorite bloggers who curates her home decor so well. White ceramic acorn decor accents that are statue-like and white pumpkins are a clean and minimalist way to add a fall touch to your shelving.

I’m looking forward to redecorating my shelf and sharing it with you based on some of the ideas I’ve shared with you here. Have you started decorating for the fall season yet?
