4 SIMPLE WAYS TO TRANSITION YOUR HOME DECOR FROM SUMMER TO FALL {Part 1}

I can recall when I was a little girl, my mother would swap out the curtains and bedding during certain seasons. The lighter curtains and bedding would be placed for the spring and summer months to the darker/heavier ones for the fall and winter months. I guess, in a way I have followed in her footsteps but in a slightly different way.

The change of seasons is the perfect excuse to swap out your home decor and I have four simple ways to transition your interior from summer to fall. You don’t have to break the bank in order to do this, as it only takes minimal changes that creates a big impact. The great thing about transitioning your home decor this time of year, is you can enjoy it from early fall all the way through Thanksgiving! Read on, to see how.

#1. Incorporate a cozy feel by adding warmer tones and layers with decorative toss pillows and/or throws.

#2. Display seasonal accents like pumpkins, acorns, and/or pinecones.

#3. Bring the sites of the fall season in your home by adding autumn-inspired decor elements.

#4. For a warm and inviting ambiance, add a scented candle that emits a fall fragrance.

When it comes to the fall and winter/holiday seasons, you can’t forget to set out the savory, autumn specialty candies for you and your guests to enjoy. I recently picked up a box of Market District Pumpkin Spice Coco Truffles – so decadent!

Glass Mercury Pumpkin was purchased a few years back and candy bowl with lid was purchased last year.
