Hello friends! Now that the fall season is officially here, I’ll be sharing a ‘three part series’ this week of how I added fall touches to different spaces in our home. Today, I’m sharing how I added seasonal fall accents to our living room. Tune in tomorrow where I will be featuring my early fall tablescape!
Greet the Season!
The year’s comfiest decor season is here! Fall decorating does not have to be overwhelming as I will share some inspiration on how I added simple and sophisticated ways to add stylish fall decor that compliments our existing decor accents. What usually takes me a day to decorate for the change of seasons, took me four days to complete. Between my health and the medication I’m on, it’s been a bit challenging to keep a continuous fast pace but I’m so happy I was able to decorate our home and now we can cozy up and enjoy!
The Ottoman Tray
I didn’t want to pile it on and go overboard with adding fall decor, instead I wanted to transition seamlessly from harvest through the fall holidays, with festive/seasonal favorites. I used decor accents that compliment the colors and tones of our living space instead of using traditional fall colors. For our ottoman tray, I added a beautiful marble pumpkin with gold stem that was gifted from my sister. She purchased it at HomeSense. Nothing says fall then with pinecones and I’m in love with our Hearth & Hand with Magnolia gold Pinecone Coaster set from Target!
I picked up a fall scented candle for some autumnal goodness. Nothing is more comforting on a cool day than that of a woody amber fragrance.
The Fireplace Mantel
Touched by the warmth of the season, I gave our fireplace mantel a fall makeover by decorating with faux greenery, lace hydrangeas, mini white pumpkins, and votive candle holders for an added glow. On the floor of the fireplace, I displayed two ceramic pumpkins that are battery operated and light up…it’s so pretty when lit in the evening hours. I found these beauties at HomeGoods.
The Etagere Shelf
If you have a bookshelf or a built-in shelving cabinet, you can add simple seasonal decor. For our gold etagere shelf, I showcased these faux white mini pumpkin vase filler under a glass dome. A couple of faux eucalyptus branches that I found at the dollar section in Target, was the perfect accent to complete the look.
I hope you’ve been inspired by my fall decorating ideas and I look forward to seeing you back here tomorrow for my early fall tablescape!
