The Many Uses: THE ICE BUCKET/BEVERAGE TUB

It’s been a while since I posted to my blog series – ‘The Many Uses’ so I thought I would share how I used my beverage tub into a vessel to hold my blue hydrangea plant.

Because this hydrangea plant is very big in size, I knew I needed to find something large enough that can hold and cover the not-so-pretty planter pot since I wanted to place it on our dining room table. One would think to use the commonly outdoor planter but it didn’t suit the style of our dining room decor. Luckily, I had an oversized stainless steal beverage tub that was a perfect fit to house my hydrangea plant! Because our dining room table seats eight people, having this as a centerpiece on the table makes a definite statement.  If you have a smaller table use an ice bucket to hold a bouquet of flowers and alternatively, you can place them on your buffet table, bar cart or on your kitchen countertop.

The many other uses to use a beverage tub:

  • Pre-made cocktails: If you will be hosting a party, make a signature cocktail for your guests and have these libations readily available for them to grab and enjoy! Simply fill the beverage tub with ice and nestled in the ice, strategically place the pre-filled glass inside.
  • Individual Ice Cream Bowls: This summer, host an ice-cream party by making your beverage tub the center of attention on your ice cream bar! Fill individual bowls with a variety of flavored ice cream and nestle the bowls in between the ice. Don’t forget to include the spoons.
  • Mason Jars: Whether you’re hosting a backyard party or a BBQ get together, fill some of your mason jars with lemonade and the others with ice tea. Place the lid on the mason jar and nestle them in the ice of the beverage tub. Don’t forget to add some jazzy paper straws! Cut to size a piece of raffia ribbon and lean the straw against the side of the mason jar, then tie the ribbon around the neck of the mason jar with straw in place.

What are some of the creative ways you use your ice bucket/beverage tub?

Happy Entertaining!
