Cooking inspiration for comfort foods
I couldn’t wait to get my hands on two specific cookbooks this fall season! Whether you want to try your hand in the kitchen for the first time or because you want to add a few new dishes to the collection of meals you’ve been serving for years, I’m featuring my two favorites here, check them out below.
Cravings: Hungry for More by Chrissy Teigen
I like Chrissy’s first cookbook; Cravings so I knew I would enjoy trying out recipes in her second cookbook. Indulgent recipes from her Everything Bagel Cream Cheese Breakfast Bake and Red Curry Chicken to Garlicky Cauliflower Rice and Banana Bread recipe, I’ve already tagged what I want to make. There are also Thai recipes inspired by Chrissy’s mom. In this cookbook, Chrissy gets personal and shares how she found her way back into the kitchen after experiencing so many changes since her last cookbook was released.
Magnolia Table: a collection of recipes for gathering by Joanna Gaines
The intention of this cookbook is a celebration of bringing people together by sharing Joanna’s favorite personal recipes. While each chapter is divided into breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert, Joanna also included soups & salads, appetizers & starters, must-have pantry items and a few trusted kitchen tools she uses often. I’m looking forward to trying out her Quick Orange-Walnut Sweet Rolls, Autumn Butternut Squash Soup, Beef Stew with Jalapeno Cornbread, Dulce de leche Apple Pie, and Chocolate-Orange Bread Pudding.
There are a few other cookbooks I’ve got my eye on…
