SEASIDE TABLETOP: Beach Inspired

Good Morning, lovely readers! I wanted to share a few snapshots I took on my iphone of the simple beach inspired tabletop I created for my birthday dinner this past Friday.

I kept it casual, clean, crisp and airy as the sea with an all-white look. I did this by dressing the table with a white tablecloth, used white dinner napkins and white dinnerware. I accented the table with two large glass lanterns, decorated with barge rope handles. These clear jars were filled with sand; this was the ideal base to nestle candles in. When the sun went down, the soft glow of the candlelight illuminated the table.

I accented the dinner napkins with seashell designed napkin rings.

For the centerpiece, I placed a large clear acrylic tray in the middle of the table. Inside the tray I inserted sand and randomly scattered decorative starfish. A large manzanita branch was situated on top of the tray and fresh white orchids were draped in between the branches to create an organic, fragrant centerpiece.

It was a beautiful summer day and what accompanied this inviting tablescape was a surf and turf dinner entree, of course!
