Typically if I am hosting a special dinner party at home, most of the time, I will bake a dessert from scratch. But it’s also good to have quick and easy dessert recipes to whip up that are not so time consuming and still taste yummy! Inspired by this recipe, I substituted the bakery meringue shells with store bought pound cake.
I also added fresh strawberries in addition to the raspberry mixture the recipe calls for. Lastly, I substituted the framboise liqueur with Grand Marnier. To keep it casual, I cut up the pound cake in small cubes and layered all the ingredients inside individual mason jars. It’s a tasty dessert that adults will enjoy – in a deconstructed kind of way!
