My New Favorite Snack: CASHEW BRITTLE WITH ROSE PETAL

Ok, let me first preface by saying this is not a sponsored post – it’s simply me sharing my new favorite snack. Now, how pretty and delicious do these Cashew Brittle with Rose Petals look?! I could totally see these tiny treats on a dessert table at a bridal shower; perfectly styled alongside other pretty sweets. The other day, I visited our local Indian market to pick up some Basmati rice and just as I was about to check out, I noticed a box of Cashew Rose Petal Chikki (Cashew Brittle with Rose Petal) and thought to myself, I bet I’m going to like this. Sure enough I did! I think I ate about five of these bite-sized treats when I arrived home. Rose petals are used not just for decoration, it’s also used in preparing sweets in India. If you follow my blog, you know how much I enjoy rose-flavored desserts – as you can see from here and here.

If you’re hesitant about trying these because you think it may taste to perfumey – not to worry. The nutty taste of these cashew brittle combined with the sweet and subtle flavor of the dried rose petals is in no way overwhelming to your taste buds.

If you don’t live near an Indian grocery store and would like to give them a try, I found this online store that carry these cashew rose petal brittles.
