HOW TO MAKE A SIMPLE AND CASUAL LIMELIGHT HYDRANGEA & GREENERY TABLE RUNNER

Use what you already have.

When it comes to DIY floral centerpiece ideas, use what you already have and look no further than in your own backyard. It’s an easy way to save money, add nature, and style to your tabletop centerpiece.

Limelight hydrangea blooms start out creamy white, then turn a unique chartreuse color that remains bright and fresh all the way into autumn. Its foliage also yields good fall color. A great floral to use as we transition from summer to fall. My sister and brother-in-law have a limelight bush and they allowed me to clip away for this simple DIY!

The size and shape of your table will dictate the size of the centerpiece. I wanted to create a slight cascading look with the leafy greenery branches so I positioned the branches further to each end of the table. Then I kept building until I reached the center of the table. You can add as much or as little when it comes to the greenery stems.

I created clusters of 3-4 limelight”s down the center of the table. I clipped each stem to about 3 inches long. To keep the hydrangeas hydrated, simply use water tubes and in order to conceal the tubes, tuck them in between the leafy greenery branches. Add more more greenery (if needed) to fill in any gaps.
