When it comes to certain holidays like Valentine’s Day or Easter, I like to create simple ways to add just the right amount of lovely seasonal touches that aren’t overboard. The best way I like to achieve this is through color and seasonal motifs incorporated in home decor verses cutsty decorations.
When I think of Valentine’s, I think of flowers, the color pink, romantic scented candles, and hearts. Now the important thing for me when decorating for this type of holiday is subtlety… just enough touches that creates a romantic vibe and not an overdone love shack, lol!
How to create a Valentine’s curated vignette on your coffee table or ottoman
Here on our ottoman tray, I created a floral arrangement using barely blush colored tulips, pink hyacinth, and pink and white wax flowers. I decided to use a clear glass pedestal bowl that complements the glass hurricane vase I used to arrange rose quartz stones and a delicious scented candle housed in a pink glass jar.
These white marble coasters with a gold heart are the perfect accessory that complements our existing decor. I added a gilded Amaryllis decorative object, and I placed coffee table books that incorporates the color palette I’m using.
Barely there Valentine’s decoration
On the fireplace mantel, I decided to decorate it with this white heart garland. I love how subtle it is! I bought this white heart with tassel garland last year from Target, during its seasonal clearance sale. Here is there newer version for this year – Linen Heart Garland with pink and white tassels.
To bring in more of the ‘floral’ motif, I accented our side table with this ceramic bloom-adorned vase.
This Voluspa limited edition cut glass jar candle not only smells lovely but lends to the romantic blush pink vibe.
To brighten up the sofa a bit with color, I added just one blush pink decorative pillow that creates a cohesive look with the rest of the living room decor.
Love blossoms in to view..decorating with blushing faux bouquets
Inspired by the celebration of love, adding quality designed faux bouquets that look astonishingly lifelike is a beautiful way to decorate your space. I dressed our side table with these faux light pink peony faux flowers.
I found bundles of these pink-hue hydrangeas recently at TJMaxx. They look so real! I arranged the light pink hydrangeas in a white jar on the opposite side table.
No, I certainly did not stop there! I pulled out these faux stock florals from my seasonal bin and housed them in a white vase designed with a Valentine’s motif. I found this vase in the floral department at my local grocery store – it’s definitely worth checking out your local supermarket for great finds!
