HOW TO CREATE A PASTEL PUMPKIN + MAGNOLIA LEAF CENTERPIECE

Gather around. A great way to celebrate the beginning of autumn is outdoor dining with an intimate gathering of family and friends.

Let’s face it, pumpkins are a staple of autumn. This tabescape screams fall with it’s layering of pumpkins, magnolia garland, and tea light candles for lovely evening-time ambiance. I transformed a traditional fall table setting into a pastel velvet pumpkin centerpiece. A peach, gold and amber palette might not be the traditional colors when you think of Fall but it’s a more softer and modern interpretation on an autumn-themed tablescape.

Setting the table is your chance to set the mood for your dinner party. When thinking about a tablescape, always use a color scheme and get creative with your centerpiece. This pumpkin and magnolia centerpiece would look great on large or long dining tables. If you’re not into faux pumpkins, you can re-create this same look using real pumpkins in a variety of sizes. What you’ll need:

How to:

  • Place your magnolia leaf garland down the center of your dining table.
  • Stack your dining table with variety-sized pumpkins in a row down the middle of your table. I started with placing the two large ones on opposite ends of the garland, then I placed the two medium-sized pumpkins in the center, and last, I filled the empty spaces with the smaller ones.
  • Next, you will want to add your votive candle holders. I had a total of six so I placed two on each end of the table (one to face the front of the table and one to face the back so that each guest sitting at the table can have a view of it). Then the remaining two candle holders will be placed in the center.
