Raise the flag, fire up the grill, and host your guests in red, white and blue. I think it’s safe to say that most of us will be outdoors this weekend celebrating the 4th and besides watching the fireworks, another favorite thing to do with family and friends at the end of the night is having everyone light up sparklers.

I created a cute and festive DIY sparkler holder that you can use as part of your table decor or you can simply place a sparkler at each table setting with my printable “Let the sparks fly” tag, as shown in the pictures above. This will allow your guests to take one sparkler at the end of the night to celebrate.

To create my easy tabletop sparkler holder, I used the following items:

  • Silver Pails (found at Target in the $1 section)
  • Decorative White Sand (found at local craft store)
  • Red, White, and Blue Balloons and Ribbon (you can find at any party store)
  • American Flag (also found at Target in the $1 section)
  • Sparklers
  • Single Flower Stem (optional)
  • “Let the sparks fly tonight!” Printable

To assemble your sparkler tabletop holder, simply fill your bucket(s) with sand, attach a red, white and blue balloon to the handle of the bucket, stick several sparklers in the sand, add a white bloom (because why not, right?), and added my “Let the sparks fly tonight! Happy 4th of July” tags.

You can click the link below, download and print my sparkler tags for your personal use.  Just to note, if you’re downloading the PDF file from a Mac computer, the fonts do change (sucks, I know). When printing, be sure to use a heavier/thicker paper and if you have a paper cutter/trimmer, cut to size.

Oh, if you happen to wonder what type of beverage are inside of the mason jars, we muddled fresh strawberries and added frozen limeade, water and ice. It was quite refreshing!
