Good Morning, friends! The weather is certainly cooling down and with that comes the comfort of layering on the cozy. Today, I’m sharing Part 3 of my ‘Fall Home Tour’ series, which includes our cozy bedroom refresh. (In case you missed Part 1 and Part 2 posts.) It didn’t take much to revamp our bedroom. I simply added a warm color palette and seasonal touches that make us want to snuggle up the warmth where we can enjoy now through the winter.
SWAP OUT THE BEDDING
There’s nothing more satisfying then falling into bed covered with maximum level of coziness. When it comes to the change of seasons, I typically like to switch out our bedding in the Spring and Fall. In the spring and summer seasons, I like to keep our bedding light and bright (as shown here). It was late spring of this year that I was perusing through the aisles of HomeGoods when all of a sudden my eyes focused on this blush velvet duvet. It was on clearance for $39.99! It appeared that someone may have returned it or someone pulled out the duvet and didn’t fold it nicely back in the package. I was hoping it was not damaged so when I got home, I immediately pulled it out and I was in LOVE! The pintuck pattern design and super soft velvet set from Harlow screams luxury. I knew I was set and this is what I would use for my fall, cozy bedroom refresh this year.
LAYER ON THE COZY
For the colder months, I layer on the cozy comforts with items like luxe faux fur throws. I went around our house to reuse and repurpose some of the throws and decorative pillows we have. I was able to find the perfect toss pillows that complemented not only the bedding but also worked so well with the hues of the bedroom. Another item I repurposed was the seating bench. Since I originally had a blush pink one stationed there, I swapped it out for taupe-colored one.
I also swapped out the area rug that was underneath the foot of the bed and replaced it with a shag rug that my sister gave me…it’s a perfect addition to the cozy, warm, plush feel! Thanks, sis!!
ADD SOME HOME ACCENTS
Who doesn’t love breakfast-in-bed, am I right?! Especially, during those weekend mornings when it’s dark and cold outside. To brighten our day, it’s always fun for us to enjoy a yummy breakfast, alongside a hot cup of tea or coffee, enjoyed in the comfort of our cozy bed. It’s a perfect excuse to jump right back into bed, snug, and watch movies! This chic Largo Bed Tray is a great addition to enjoying a wonderful morning or afternoon meal in bed. The metal legs fold for easy storage or it can be used to display some of your favorite books/magazines on the side of your bed.
To add some additional home accents, I found this gorgeous white and gold plate at HomeGoods and while it’s meant to be used for entertaining purposes, I decided to layer this luxe piece on top of our accent table. To complement the blush color of the bedding, I swapped out my white marble storage box for this acrylic jewelry box (also found at HomeGoods) and a added new scented candle & reed diffuser. For a fall festive touch, I decorated the accent table with my taupe velvet pumpkin.
An additional fall touch…this stunning Pink Luster Glass Pumpkin.
BRING IN SOME FRESH (OR FAUX) SEASONAL BLOOMS
One of nature’s most popular seasonal evergreen for the fall and winter months are eucalyptus branches. I added this Faux Silver Dollar Eucalyptus Branch in a vase on the nightstand. I love how the natural texture pops on this side of the bedroom space.
