To start off this Monday morning, I wanted to share some snapshots of a clean, fresh, simple and cheerful tabletop design I created for a family brunch, I hosted this past weekend. While the season has changed from winter to spring, it will still take a while before we see flowers bloom, lush green grass and the trees transform to their full greenness. And since it was still to chilly to host an outdoor brunch, I brought spring indoors by pairing two complimentary shades of colors that remind us of the season…a sunny pop of yellow and a vibrant green!
I used these yellow flowering plants and added green foliage in clear glass vases. By using a very light shade of silver grey tablecloth, clear dinnerware & glassware, and white serveware, the combination of the two vibrant colors stood out beautifully!
May I add that brunch was oh, so delish!
Chicken & Waffles with a side of baked apples
Arugula and Spinach salad mixed with fresh strawberries, mandarin oranges and topped with cranberries, walnuts, candied pecans and sliced almonds.
Mini Chocolate Eclairs
Mimosas & freshly brewed coffee
I’m looking forward to hosting my next brunch but alfresco style!
