A SPRING TABLESCAPE THAT CAN EASILY TRANSITION INTO AN EASTER ONE

Welcome the spring season with a tablescape that brings in the hues of bright blue skies.

It’s a catch-your-breath experience when driving down a tree-lined street, filled with blooming cherry blossoms, blossoming tulips that are perked up in residential front lawns, vibrant green grass, new green leaves that have grown on trees and beautiful, clear blue skies…Aahh, the beauty of the spring season! With many of us still isolating at home and/or social distancing from family and friends due to Covid-19, it feels like the winter months of January and February can feel a bit more dreary with being indoors. As spring arrives in just 21 more days, we’re looking forward to spending parts of our day out on the deck and backyard, to breath in fresh air, working on those outdoor projects, like gardening, and most of all to be able to see nature bloom around us.

Whether spending time outdoors or indoors, we believe in home, a place like no other. While we are hopeful to be reunited with our family and friends, we know it may still be a while. If you have already had the chance to physically reconnect with family and friends or have your pod that still gathers, this post serves as inspiration to welcome the spring season with a tablescape that was inspired by beautiful blue skies of the spring season. It’s an elegant mix of modern and vintage. At the end of this post, I’m sharing how simple it was to easily transition this spring tablescape to an Easter one!

Natural, blue-yellow hydrangeas combined with light and dark blue Delphiniums, white Spider Mums and Chrysanthemums made up this floral table centerpiece I created. I used this white Acrylic Rectangle Flower Vase and inserted wet floral foam inside to secure the flower stems.

To recreate this look, I chose this fabric table cloth in a baby blue color and topped it with this white chiffon table runner. The easiest, most sophisticated and elegant way to embellish a table is to utilize white, gold- rimmed dinnerware. Matching crystal-stem glasses make everyone feel fancy. Cotton cloth napkins hand-crafted with gold satin trim paired so well the colors of the table. For a unique touch to tie into this spring theme, I added a sprig of greenery and a hydrangea petal. To create a beautiful and glowing atmosphere, I used antique brass candle holders to hold these light blue taper candles and light yellow ombre tea light candle holders.

Now let’s take a look at how I made simple changes to go from a Spring tablescape to an Easter table setting!

When it comes to the Easter holiday, we typically see lots of pastel colors and patterns, such as stripes and polka dots. The only thing I did to make this transition from a spring tablescape to an Easter one is by swapping out some of the items on each place setting.

The first thing I did was replace the gold-rimmed dinner plate with a gold polka dot one to bring out a festive pattern. I then added more of that sky blue color by changing out the drinking glasses from clear crystal stemware to blue colored glasses with a gold rim. I decided to replace the all gold flatware with a white and gold option. For the final touch, I removed the sprig of greenery and hydrangea petal and in its place, I added these adorable ceramic, pastel blue eggs that look and feel so realistic and placed them inside easter egg cups that are designed in coordinating colors of the dinner plates.

To elevate the flower table centerpiece with an Easter vibe, I nestled in some small speckled quail eggs inside some of the blooms. Sometimes it’s the most simple ideas!

Hopefully, you are inspired and will embrace this spring celebration in style!
