Bows, ribbons, and gift toppers, oh my!
I enjoy adding the finishing touch when gift wrapping a present, whether it’s for the Christmas holiday or a birthday gift. There’s something special about making your gifts pop when decorating with wrapping paper by using items like fancy ribbon, a special ornament or pretty faux flower topper. It’s a delightful feeling when you go the extra mile and create those those smile-inducing wrapped gifts that are wow-worthy, as the holiday present itself!
Since there are so many Christmas presents to wrap, I thought of some easy, yet festive ways to dress your gifts using a variety of toppers. For a couple of years now, I’ve been drawn to Sugar Paper LA for Target holiday collection. Between the white & gold boxes, gift bags, and wrapping paper to their newly added party essentials! This year, we wrapped our presents in three different gift wrap designs, like this white and gold Merry Merry, this white with gold Christmas Trees, and this white with Gold Stripes.
Bottle Brush Trees
Bottle brush trees are very popular when decorating for the holiday season. There are so many ways you can use them and they are so inexpensive. I hot-glued a mini bottle brush tree on top of the lid and added this white and gold XO gift tag.
Gift Trim and Ornaments
Adding ornaments or a gift trim like this gold beaded tassel gift trim is an added gift to the recipient because they get to hang it on their tree the following year.
LED Fairy String Lights
Add some festive glow to this white and gold Merry Christmas gift bag by draping a strand of LED string lights in and out of the bag. Make sure you tuck the battery part inside the bag, where it’s not visible. It’s an inexpensive way to jazz up a gift bag!
Initial Ornaments and sparkly ribbon
Nothing personalizes a gift more than with an ornament with the initial of their name. I found this gold polka-dot letter ornament at Target but it doesn’t seem like they carry it online anymore. If you’re interested, I would check your local Target store an head to the Sugar Paper section. I wrapped the gift box with this pretty sparkly glitter dots ribbon.
Ribbon with Sayings
Adorn your holiday gifts with a cheery ribbon that features a jolly text, like this white and gold Merry Christmas ribbon.
Jingle Bells
Add the joyful sound of the holiday season with a little jingle to your wrapped gift! I created a belly-band look by wrapping the gift with this metallic faux linen wired ribbon.
Faux Floral Picks
I love embellishing gifts with vibrant, life-like, faux flower toppers! For this present I combined this pink handmade paper flower gift trim with this preserved boxwood pick.
