This season had me inspired to create an autumn table centerpiece. By incorporating natural elements such as vegetables and flowers, it turned out to be a bountiful display, perfect for a fall gathering of friends and family.
I have to admit when creating this autumn centerpiece, my intentions were to house these items in a rectangular bowl but I couldn’t find a vessel large enough that had a natural wood look to it. So I decided to dress up this table by arranging the centerpiece freely on the center of the table and layering each item. By using a white linen tablecloth as the backdrop, it allowed items on top to stand out. To balance the white, I brought in white blooms for a soft touch against all the raw vegetables and white votive candles were added to create a soft glow as daylight turns into night.
Use a collection of fall vegetables like pumpkin squash and butternut squash as well as everyday vegetables like eggplant for its deep purple color, artichokes for their budding flower-head cluster and kale for an added layer that creates a bed of greenery .
It’s a simple DIY that ‘s easy to re-create. Check out my step-by-step instructions below.
