DIY: Creating A Neutral & Casual Fall-Inspired Table Setting

This is the time of year where we all get together for cozy gatherings at home with friends and family so for today’s post, I would like to share some inspiration on a fall table setting I created, for one of those gatherings.

Remember this post when I created an autumn inspired centerpiece and I couldn’t find a vessel to hold my vegetables and flowers display? Well the day after I had created that centerpiece, I went to Target to pick up a few things and what did I find…of course, a wooden tray that I had envisioned for my centerpiece! Figures, right! I happily bought the wooden tray, knowing I would get plenty of use for it and it was perfect for today’s post.

For this table setting, I added some seasonal touches to create a neutral and casual aesthetic. Elements used were a wooden tray to house a bed a of seeded eucalyptus, placed two neutral colored pumpkins in the center, and strategically placed a cluster of deep colored flowers (remnants from a bouquet) to fill in some gaps.

Fall name card holder

You can easily create this place card holder by hot gluing the bottom of a pine cone to a greenery stem. For the name tag, cut out or (do what I do) and use a paper punch that punches shapes like a square or rectangle. Then tuck the name tag in the pinecone, so that it is visible to your guests. For an added neutral effect, I finished off the name tag by punching a hole and looping through two pieces of raffia ribbon.

By using an oatmeal colored tablecloth, matching dinner napkins, rattan placemats, and white dinner plates, it combines well with all the elements of a natural table setting.

I used these cobalt blue wine stem glasses for a pop of color and to also mimic the colors of the flowers bunches.

I hope you all have enjoyed taking a look at this quick and easy fall-inspired table setting!
