Create a Holiday Dessert Station: CHRISTMAS COOKIES & HOT COCO

Holiday Cookies and Hot Coco Bar

While visiting my sister in New Jersey this past weekend, we worked together to create this fun and festive set up that displays decorated Christmas cookies and hot chocolate. We decided to convert her front entrance foyer table as a holiday dessert station. It’s a great way to welcome guests as they come in from the cold and while their coats are taken to be hung, they instantly warm up as they are greeted in with a display of hot coco and cookies!

We used a large square cake pedestal to display the larger decorated Christmas cookies and a smaller tray for the smaller-sized cookies. These cute deer dessert plates were laid out individually for guests to easily grab one to place their cookies on. I used one of my favorite recipes to make the hot chocolate that included flavored lavender milk. We topped half of the hot chocolate with these adorable “Marshmallow Snowman” and the other cups were topped off with whipped cream and mini gingerbread sprinkles.

We added string lights and a welcoming blackboard sign.

Holiday Dessert Station

Whether you’re planning on a holiday dinner gathering with dessert after, a cookie exchange party or simply inviting your neighbors or friends for a holiday treat, set up a holiday dessert station instead of placing your items on the dinner table or kitchen island.  Add a few festive touches like seasonal flowers, trays, dishes and decor pieces, and you are set!
