Take a sip, if you dare!

Last week, I shared my Wickedly Black Butterfly Halloween Tablescape. Today, I’m sharing a festive way to serve your halloween cocktails for your guests.

When it’s time for tricks and treats this Halloween, enjoy transforming your bar cart (or buffet table) into a spirit-filled bar by styling it in such an easy and creative way that will spook and delight your guests! The fun part? Add a life-size skeleton to be your “server”. We named our “server” ‘Skully’ – he adds that bit of spine-chilling halloween fun!

Creepy Cocktail Time

For this fun look, this is what I used:

  • A life-size, pose-and-stay Skeleton. If you have a bar cart, you can pose him standing in front of it and have his hands holding the cart handle. If you have a buffet cabinet or wet bar, you can position the skeleton to stand next to it and position its hand in a way that says “Welcome”, while the other hand appears to be cupping a pre-made cocktail. For fun, I gave him a black bow tie and had him hold a festive dish towel I used as a bar towel. I found a set at HomeGoods.
  • Black Tulle (I have 2 yards wrapped on the bar cart)
  • Black Butterflies
  • A black glass vase (similar option, here)
  • Preserved Red Oak Branches (I found mine at HomeGoods but here is an option). An arrangement of dark red roses can do the trick too!
  • I used this Jules Glass Cloche and inside of it, I inserted mini fairy lights (battery-operated) and a real pumpkin I had spray painted black.
  • For the decor accessories, I used this gold cast metal pumpkin candle holder and this gold brass decorative tray to hold the cocktails. Here is the larger tray option. I also placed a black votive candle holder that I had purchased from Walmart, several months ago but here is a pretty option.
  • Lastly, you’ll need a signature drink. Welcome each guest with this ‘Woo Woo Cocktail recipe. You’ll want to premake your cocktails a few minutes before your guests arrive.
