Amaranthus Caudatus. This droopy flowering plant is also known as ‘Love-lies-bleeding’ with its bushy, tassel-like resemblance is perfect for creating a lush and overflowing table runner. To bring out the summer-inspired hues, I chose yellow as my primary accent color, gray as my secondary accent color and the crisp color of white, balances it all out.
To make this table runner, I used six of these flowering stems (cut the bottoms off) and layered them – creating a cascading effect on the both ends of the table. For table decoration, I strategically placed lemons and crystal candle holders in and between the flowering plant.
Dressing your table with a floral table runner is a swoon-worthy way to make a big statement and you can’t’ help but smile when you see cheery pops of color. Perhaps, this will inspire you for your next summer party!
Check back here for tomorrow’s tablescape that I created based on some leftover blooms from last week’s inspiration photo shoot that I was apart of. It includes deep, jewel-like tones that’s perfect for welcoming the fall season.
