When it comes to home interiors, I often find myself drawn to neutral tones. Even in my own home, no matter how much I try to incorporate a pop of color here and there, it’s always subtle (except for the dining room – a few months ago I stepped out of my comfort zone, took the plunge and had an accent wall painted a deep navy blue!) Some people may find a white and cream color palette to be boring or even blah but I happen to think neutral interiors reflects an elegant simplistic and relaxed look, with a bright and airy feel.
Interior design firm, Leo Designs Chicago are spot on when it comes to designing these residential interiors with a white on cream palette! The talented design duo, Georgeann Rivas and Stephanie Wirth created spaces with a mix of design elements such as french inspired furnishings punctuated by the glow of sparkling modern lightening and the luminosity of chrome accessories, gives off a little bling and grounding the neutrals with wood tables, warm dark color hardwood floors; the palette becomes cohesive. Adding details like crown molding and wall trim adds that extra sophistication to a space.
