What says Easter better than bunnies, tulips, and the color of pastel pink? Easter is on its way, and I wanted to share some inspiration and styling tips for this casual blush-pink Easter tablescape, I put together.
A table set perfectly for an afternoon luncheon was inspired by the feminine hues of blush and pink. To bring out the light pastel color, I added my copper flatware that elevated the light pale color with its jewel-tone accent. To contrast the blush-pink tablecloth, I used my white and gray printed easter motif dinner napkins and folded them to the size of placemats. I found these pretty pink hobnail dessert cups and drinking glasses from HomeGoods. They add a sophisticated and stylish look. Fill your pink-colored glasses with a spring cocktail, like this Lavender & Bruleed Grapefruit Greyhound or this Pink Jelly Bean.
In keeping with the color theme, I layered my blush salad plates (purchased from Crate & Barrel) on top of my white tempered glass dinner plate (purchased at Ikea).
When I see tulips, I automatically think spring! To evoke a classic Easter setting, I filled my ceramic bunny candy bowl with in-season pink and white tulips that complement the table. Who says you have to use an item solely for its suggested purpose? You guys know how much I love an item that has many uses! I secured the tulips by inserting a glass flower frog inside the candy bowl. As an alternative, you can use a pin frogs as well.
As a nod to Easter tradition, I housed festive holiday treats, like these chocolate covered eggs in a decorative 4″ bird nest. Each nest is found atop these pink dessert pedestal bowls resting at each place setting. It’s a “sweet” detail to welcome guests as they sit at the table.
Skip the basket, and display either your decorated colored Easter eggs or your dessert treats in style with a classic white ceramic egg crate.
Easter Table Styling Tips:
- One simple way to quickly create a festive atmosphere is to hang a wreath. You probably already own a seasonal one that you hang on your front door. I used my grapevine wreath (which I purposely coordinated with the look of the birds nests). I used large gold-foil ‘letter’ stickers, found at my local craft store to create a holiday welcome message.
- A palette of pastels would be expected for a Easter table setting, but I opted for a blush-pink instead and added elements of copper, fresh white, and light gray detail.
- Invest in one-color table linens and tableware. By choosing neutral colors, you are able to repurpose for other holiday, baby and bridal showers, and other special occasions.
- Create a festive and cheerful floral centerpiece by using your playful bunny candy bowls to hold your flowers instead of candy. How cute is this and this bunny candy bowl options?
- Sweets are decorative and delicious. Use sweets as decorations to reinforce the color scheme and the table theme.
If you’re hosting an Easter luncheon or a casual Easter dinner, I hope this inspired table setting brightens your day.
