Whether it’s home decor, clothes or makeup, I love it when my sister hands me her “I don’t want these anymore” items! Recently, she passed on to me three lipsticks (two of which are samples) that are a bit darker than what I typically wear – I usually stick to a nude lip but as the fall season approaches, I’ve decided to give them a try and see how I like them.
Le Marc Lip Crème Lipstick has a dark pink shade that I can easily wear anytime and not feel it’s too much color. The lipstick goes on really smooth and has pretty good staying power.
This has to be my favorite fall color lipgloss! I wear this lip gloss with my Mac ‘subculture’ lip liner and I think the reason why I love it is because when paired together, I get that nude mauve tone I’m used to but with a darker hue.
This lipgloss has a smooth matte finish and has a serious amount of staying power. I actually purchased this lip gloss and it is definitely intense in color with a deep berry stain. If you normally don’t wear dark colors, this dramatic lip color may be intimidating. However, if you are used to wearing dark lip colors, if worn with the right amount of makeup – it is a very alluring look! See the below pic for a makeup look that looks great with that dark berry hue!

This lipstick has to be my second favorite with its rich pop of color. It has a soft matte finish and a little goes on a long way.

Have you purchased a lipstick and you like the color and everything else about it but wish it was a shade lighter? Here’s a makeup tip I will share with you that I do…simply dab on some concealer on your lip. Adding some concealer will tone down the shade. Sometimes, I also use concealer before applying some of my lipsticks so that the lipstick color stays on longer throughout the day.
