Hello friends! Thank you for stopping by today to view Part 1 of 3, of my Christmas Home Tour! Why are there three parts, you wonder? Well, I plan on featuring three rooms all decked out for the holidays and with so many photos, it would be a very long post! So let’s begin by taking a tour of our living room…
Hey where did that built-in come from?! LOL..If you’re a long time follower, than you may recall when I shared a few months back on my insta-stories, our recent house project of having a custom coat closet install. It’s been 3-months and we are thrilled with not only having a designated place to hang our coats but ample storage too! I’ll be writing a separate post all about the custom closet design, all the details, and what are plans are for the other things we will be adding to this built-in.
The first time I laid eyes on these gold metal wreaths, I knew the closet doors would be the perfect place to hang these beauties! I placed the larger gold metal leaf and flower wreath on the double doors and the smaller metal gold wreath on the single closet door. I thought hanging the gold metal wreaths with a wide-sized holiday ribbon would look to busy and heavy looking, so instead I decided to use a simple 1/8″cream-colored satin ribbon to hang them. I love how it turned out – simple, yet grand with the metal wreaths being the focal point!
My spouse and I love heading to the tree farm every holiday season to pick out our own Christmas tree but to our dismay, they were closed for the season! We drove to our favorite nursery and found out that there is a tree shortage. While there wasn’t an abundance of trees to choose from, we found one that we liked but did have a conversation about buying a faux tree for next year. We already have a faux flocked tree for our dining room but enjoy having a real tree in the living room. We shall see.
Last year’s Christmas color scheme was pink and gold in the living room. This year, I decided to not introduce a new color and just use what we have, so I went with white & gold. To freshen up the sofa, we have two of these 24″ faux Corseca pillows but was only able to fit one of them, so I placed it on the center of the sofa. The other pillows, I found at HomeGoods – it was such a lucky find! They came as pairs…bonus! The gold ones are designed with a ribbed fabric and the white ones have a floral motif design on the fabric. A white faux fur throw finished off the cozy and elegant vibe.
Oh, and can I tell you how wonderful the frosted evergreen scent from this Gaia Candle is?! Once lit, it smells like a room full of Christmas trees. I also love that it’s housed in a gorgeous, luxe gold vessel.
I added a bit of glam to the ottoman tray by adding this jewelry box I found at HomeGoods and placed my beads, ball ornaments, and this crystal hanging ornament I found at our local home decor boutique store.
For the fireplace, I went for a decorated mantel filled with a lush array of fresh Christmas greens and seeded eucalyptus. I displayed these white pre-lit glitter cone trees and two snow globes that also light up.
For one of the side tables, I wanted to display my gold decorative glass finial trees that I had but it looked too lonely sitting by itself so I placed them on a tray, added some gold jingle bells and placed this glass cloche on top. It turned out to be a pretty and festive display!
If you’re looking for similar finial trees, check out these Silver Mercury Glass Micro LED battery operated finials.
I styled our Etagere bookcase in full holiday decor! I went through our Christmas storage bins and found two different kinds of glitter garland so I decided to drape them on the outer part of the shelf. Most of the holiday decor I already owned but a few things that are new is this Star Hurricane Candle Holder, this Etched Snowflake Golden Votive candle holder and these mini faux trees from Target. Although, I did a bit of a DIY with them by inserting them in these white mercury glass votive candle holders and added faux snow.
I swamped out my set of decorative porcelain balls with these fabricball ornaments and these lace cover ornaments.
While this champagne glitter crown topper is meant to be on a tree, I thought it looked better displayed on our side table, alongside our pre-lit white porcelain manger.
I hope you enjoyed Part 1 of our Christmas Home Tour and will be back tomorrow for a look at Part 2…our Copper & Gold decorated Dining room! Would you believe me if I told that there are no flower arrangements as the dining room centerpiece?! Oh, you will want to stop by, it’s a bit of glam with LOTS of sparkle!!
