MY BRIDGERTON-INSPIRED EASTER TABLESCAPE

Behold my friends, the spring is come; the earth has gladly received the embraces of the sun, and we shall soon see the results of their love!

-Sitting Bull

During this time of year, we are greeted with the feeling of anew. Tree branches blossoming with new leaves, flowers emerging from the ground, the sounds of birds during their morning “dawn chorus”, green grass flourishing, warm spring breezes…all signs of new growth. We are reminded during the Easter holiday that new life; eternal and abundant, springs from Jesus. The same feeling of anew can apply for us, internally in heart. This is what we celebrate as we gather around our table on Easter day.

The Inspiration:

No matter the occasion or holiday, decorating a table and creating a special ambiance for all to enjoy, is what I love to do. When putting a tablescape together, I like to draw inspiration from my surroundings; nature, books of interiors, a beautiful piece of fabric, a certain color palette, or even cable television series like Downtown Abbey, Emma, The Gilded Age, or Bridgerton…I’m such a fan of these shows! Between the locations, the fashion, the interiors, and of course the love stories and captivating drama of it all, I am intrigued by these shows. Are you a fan? The television period drama series that inspired my Easter tablescape this year is Bridgerton. The Bridgerton’s “Wedgewood blue” that is incorporated in its interiors and the lush flowers that seem to be everywhere you look when watching each episode, I thought it would be fun to include those elements in my Easter tabletop setting. Light-hearted, whimsical and brimming with pastel accents, is how approached this tablescape.

Dearest readers, the time has come to delight in my Bridgerton-inspired Easter tablescape!

Two eye-catching arrangements filled with an abundant array of blooms such as, hyacinth, hydrangeas, parrot tulips, spray roses, carnations, stock, delphinium, and a few fillers, offered a sweet romantic intrigue – full of color and texture.

In keeping with the royal-like theme, gold rimmed accents, antique pieces and a bit of garden-whimsey were key. For the place settings, I used these White and Gold French Scroll Charger Plates. I then layered each charger with gold-rimmed, bird & flower motif plates. My gold vintage flatware was a suitable choice to tie in the look. I finished off with coordinating tea cups & saucer, dressed in a gold rim and antique glassware. Since we plan on having mimosas for our Easter brunch, I included a small champagne glass for each place setting.

Wishing you a beautiful Easter Sunday and a blessed day! -Yours truly
