Other than fragrant candles, my other favorite simple pleasure are scented bath + body soaps. I recently found Formulary 55 on Etsy and admired their simple but pretty packaging. With such a wonderful selection of shea butter moisturizing soaps to choose from, I decided to purchase ‘Vintage Peony’ described as a soft velvety bouquet of bursting peonies delicately laced with violet and honeysuckle and warmed with seductive amber and soft musk. I also purchased ‘Day Dream’ described as a fresh soft blend of cut grass, violet leaf, rose de mai, jasmine, orange blossom with black pepper and amber.
The minute I opened my delivery package, the scents of the soaps seemed to have emit a floral fragrance in the air.
I coulden’t wait to test out these soaps so even though I was reluctant to tear open the pretty packaging, I washed my hands with ‘Day Dream’ first. The lather of the soap was instant and it felt so silky. The scent was d-i-v-i-n-e! Since this is a smaller-sized soap, it was perfect to place in bathroom used by house guests. The ‘Vintage Peony’ is a larger soap, so I used that to shower with.
