A taste of spring…celebrate the season!
Whether you’re hosting an egg dying party or an Easter get-together, create your party on wheels…the bar cart that is! It’s the perfect place to impress your guests with bunnies, libations, florals, and easter treats.
Deck it out as a candy cart.
While we love a good bar cart filled with our favorite libations, Easter is one of those holidays where we get to enjoy chocolate covered easter eggs, jelly beans, and Reese’s eggs – just to name a few.
How to style an Easter bar cart in pretty pastels
Decide on your color palette
- When you stick with a defined color palette, it creates a cohesive look. Since I was going after springy pastel hues, I chose elements that helped me acheive that – including the easter treats!
Decorate with Easter Decor
- For that ‘spring garden’ vibe, I decorated the top tier of my bar cart with this boxwood leaves placemat. I then wrapped one side of the bar cart with this boxwood garland. This not only adds a decorative element to your bar cart but it also adds dimension.
- I then layered the top tier of the bar cart with these multicolor egg statues. Alternatively, you can use bunny statues. Since I have candy bowls designed with bunnies on them, I decided to use my decorative eggs.
- Speaking of easter serveware, you can also use easter baking cups to hold a handful of your favorite candy. Baking cups don’t take up alot of room on your bar cart and they add color and motiff to your bar cart. I stuck with the light pastel colors.
- Add height to your bar cart so everything doesn’t look flat. Since we have a round bar cart – there isn’t a ton of room then let’s say a 3-tier rectangular one will have. I was able to accomplish that with the various heights of the egg statues. You can also achieve this by using small cake stands or bowls with a footed pedestal. I used my mini cupcake stands to hold some of the easter candy to create height.
Add your Bar Cart Essentials
- For guest convenience, add festive beverage napkins to your bar cart for those potential messy little accidents.
- Add your favorite glassware (or tumblers for the kiddos) for easy self serve. I love finding speciality bottles at HomeGoods or Marshalls, filled with sparkling French Lemonade flavors. Lemonade is so refreshing for the whole family to enjoy. But if it’s a fancy cocktail you are looking for that doesn’t require a recipe – just fill a champagne glass with your favorite Prosecco and add some festive cotton candy as garnish….easy peasy! The cotton candy colors also helped with the pastel color palette.
Decorate with a fresh bouquet of flowers
- Just as a tablescape is not complete without the finishing touch of fresh flowers, the same applies to a bar cart. If you are going to place flowers on the top shelf of your bar cart, use a taller vase so that it won’t take up so much room. If you use the bottom shelf, use a shorter flower vase. I only used two types of flowers for this arrangement, it’s more pleasing to the eye in a semi-tight area. I decorated the bar cart with two shades of pink ranunculus and combined it with a delicate white floral stems (not sure of the name) but they look so springy to me.
Add a surprise element
- A pastel balloon colored bouquet was the surprise element to my bar cart. Balloons are so inexpensive and festive. They are fitting for just about any type of occasion or event. No need to tell guests where to go, balloons have that effect…it automatically draws people in and helps lead guests to the treats!
