New Year, New Space!
Happy New Year and hope you had a happy holiday season! One of the things I enjoy doing for the new year is to refresh our home – giving it a new look. You don’t need to spend money to do so either. I like to focus on updating accents and accessories with what I already have. I did that here with our Etagere shelf.
For the longest time, I’ve wanted to display my vintage collection of milk glass but wasn’t sure how to do so in a larger scale vs. a piece displayed here and there. Inspired by one of the pages in my coffee table book on interior design, I used our Etagere shelves to curate a juxtaposition of old and new home decor accessories. I cleared off the shelves of what was previously displayed and started adding vintage milk glass pieces, antique brass candlestick holders, complemented with a few modern elements and layered with framed flower photography prints, and coffee table books. I swoon over the gold on white pairing…it never disappoints! White is soft, muted and unpretentious and the gold is glamorous and lustrous…channeling elegance and sophistication.
I find that milk glass accessories is so versatile that it will fit in any decor style. Are you a fan and collector too?
