Have you ever lived in a place for years and years and never visited your city’s historic landmarks? Born and raised in New York, I never visited the Empire State Building or Rockefeller Center and the only reason I visited the Statue of Liberty was because of a school trip, way back when. Since I went to New York to spend Thanksgiving with my family, I decided I wanted to go ice skating at Rockefeller Center! Of course the day we went was Black Friday! The streets were crowded and it was bitter cold outside. As I got closer to the ice, I envisioned myself accidentally ramming into someone, falling and breaking a bone or two, so I chickened out and decided to window shop instead, ha! Well, at least I got to actually walk around and through Rockefeller Plaza, right?!
It’s on my bucket list to be in NYC for the annual Christmas Tree lighting.
The picture above is the stunning holiday decoration set up in Saks Fifth Avenue. It was pretty magical in person.
Happy Friday, everyone! Enjoy your weekend and take the time by visiting a new place you’ve never been in your own backyard!
Enjoy a few of my favorite links from this week:
Speaking of NYC landmarks, I adore how Tiffany & Co. captures the holiday in NYC so magically!
What do you think of Pantone’s 2015 color of year?
This feathered hemmed dress would be perfect for a New Year’s Eve party and this sparkled outfit is a cute mix!
Will have to try this Whipped Sabayon with Strawberries recipe.
