Over the weekend, I worked on a DIY pumpkin table centerpiece (more on that below) and the soft muted hues of the arrangement inspired me to create a fall style tablescape that can be used for a seasonal dinner gathering or even for hosting a Thanksgiving dinner.
I added a soft accent color with these blush colored linen napkins I purchased about a month ago from Pier 1 Imports. Since the napkins were on clearance, they don’t sell it online anymore but I found these blush colored ones.
I made an organic place card holder using 2 sprigs of fresh rosemary and a white carnation bud. The fragrant aroma of the rosemary is a perfect addition to the table, especially if you plan on cooking a baked chicken or brimmed turkey! To re-create this, simply use a 1-hole punch and punch a hole on the bottom left-hand corner of your name card. Insert two sprigs of rosemary and arrange them so that one sprig is situated on the left and the other on the right side. To finish off, you will cut the stem off of your carnation (on any flower bud of your choice) and insert the bud directly in the center of your place card.
Apologies for not sharing photos of the entire step-by-step process of how to make your own DIY Fall Pumpkin Centerpiece. It really isn’t as difficult or challenging as it may appear – it’s all about layering. For this DIY centerpiece, I used medium-sized cake plate so bear in mind, if you plan on making this centerpiece, since there is no water to keep the seeded eucalyptus and the other fall fillers fresh and alive for long, it would be best to arrange this for the day of your special dinner gathering. But don’t fret, after the dinner is over and your guests have left, you can disassemble your arrangement and create several small arrangements in watered vases to place around your home!
I love how subtle and earthy looking the tablescape came out in addition to the mix of modern gold flatware and clear vintage glassware. Now I’m even more inspired to create something new and different for my Thanksgiving tabletop!
