Crisp mornings, chunky knit sweaters, autumn leaves, apples and pumpkin spice everything…in just one week, we transition into the fall season and I’m looking forward to this bountiful season!
I’m always inspired to create recipes from scratch, re-create an orginial recipe, and try out quick and easy baking ideas to welcome the a new season and share it here with you. The fall season is a great way to to bring your baked goods and desserts up a notch and today I’m going to show you a simple way to do just that!
I love Williams and Sonoma’s seasonal bakeware collection to create festive fall treats – I used one of their baking pans to make this apple spiced cake last year. Two weekends ago, I used our new Nordic Ware Apple Loaf Pan and baked a flavorful quick bread using Williams Sonoma Spiced Apple Quick Bread Mix (they also sell a gluten free option). Using this pan makes a fall flavored quick bread that much more stunning! This is a fuss-free baked good that is a cinch to make and will impress your guests!
Not only is this quick bread impressive looking but it tastes A M A Z I N G! This spiced apple bread is ultra moist and the combination of cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger with real apple pieces definitely captures the sweet flavors of autumn. It tastes even better when served warm out of the oven – oh, so heavenly! My spouse and I literally kept mumbling ‘Mmm…so good”! Why not enjoy this quick bread for breakfast, alongside your hot cup of coffee, as an after dinner dessert treat, a perfect companion to bring to a brunch or fall gathering, a hostess gift, or to enjoy this Thanksgiving holiday.
