While perusing the holiday decor on Frontgate online store, I noticed two stunning brooch wreaths (now out of stock – shown here and here) but sold at a whopping cost of $400!! I thought to myself, this could be a DIY that is attainable to recreate!
When my insta-friend, Michelle of @littlelattihouse shared on her instagram stories a peek of beautiful brooches, I knew exactly what she was planning on doing with those and sure enough, when she revealed her stunning version of the Frontgate wreath, I was blown away! I created the one you see above, using sage green ribbons which happens to be the accent color for my Christmas tree this year. I embellished the wreath with a mix of both gold and silver brooches.
My mother kindly requested that I make a brooch wreath for her, using blush pink ribbon (the final result shown above).
Here is what I used to make this Frontgate Brooch Wreath dupe:
- Floral Foam Wreath: 1.7 in x 11.7 in (purchased at JoAnn Fabrics)
- Ribbons (used two different sizes) 1 2/2″ x 21′ to wrap the wreath and 2 1/2′ x 30′ to make the bow
- Brooches: used a quantity of 12 for the sage green wreath (unfortunately they are currently all out of stock) and used a quantity of 31. (I used these and these)
