Hippity, Hoppity, Easter is on its way!
Easter can be such a fun holiday for kids, from the ‘eggciting’ Easter egg hunt – see what I did there 🙂 to the goodies in their Easter baskets. I think styling a festive kids Easter table makes it fun and enjoyable for them.
The inspiration behind this Easter kids table I created was the bright colors of spring and all things that grow. I’m sharing some simple tips for setting the table with entertaining essentials from HomeGoods.
For affordable Easter decor, I turned to HomeGoods for some budget-friendly finds.
Place setting
Aside from the warmer weather, the spring season brings greenery, flowers, vegetables from the garden, and the animals are back too! That was my inspiration when creating this Easter kids table. I started out by covering the table with a bluish-green tablecloth that reminds me of robin eggs. For the place setting, I used my boxwood leaves placemats I had stored away and on top of that, I placed adorable melamine easter bunny-shaped plates I found at HomeGoods. I mean what kid doesn’t like to eat off of fun-shaped plates?! Also found at HomeGoods are these pastel colored Isaac Mizrahi napkins that I folded into a knot and placed underneath the bunny plate to resemble a bowtie. We all know bunnies love there carrots, so for some festive fun, I placed a raffia carrot beside the plate. For the drinkware, I used my beaded tumblers in the prettiest iridescent color that when held up to the light, reflects the colors of a rainbow. A orange and white colored paper straw was inserted in each glass for easy sipping.
Natured-inspired Nest Egg Centerpiece
How pretty are these Multicolor Egg Statues in hues of blue, white, and yellow? I remembered I had a large nest that I had purchased from a craft store and it was a perfect size to display the egg statues in. If you can find a large nest egg, you can create your own with this helpful DIY tutorial. To bring color and life to the nest egg, I strategically inserted wax flower branches in and around the nest and laid yellow and purple blooms in a few areas to look as though they were blooming from the nest.
A kids table is not complete without some treats! With the smaller nest eggs I had, I placed two on opposite ends of the table and covered the inside of the nests with crinkle paper shred fillers (the kind you fill Easter baskets with) and filled them up with flavored jelly beans.
I hope you enjoyed today’s post. These few simple tips and tricks is all you need to set up your own Easter kids table.
