Over the weekend, I stopped in Sephora specifically looking for a lipstick (rats! they were all out of it). So I decided to look around the store and see what else I can find. While browsing through the many beauty lines and the new fall palettes, Becca’s Matte Shine Proof Foundation caught my eye. A foundation that claims to control shine…heck yeah, I will try it! It would be great not to have to continually apply face pressed powder in order to control my oily T-zone. Next to the foundation, was this Perfecting Brush that is to be used with the foundation. Check out the demonstration on how it works, here.
The next day, I tried my new products and I have to admit that I was impressed with the foundation. Don’t let the word “matte” fool you because once applied, there was a subtle sheen left on my skin and my face didn’t appear dry or matte looking, which I really liked! It also gave me the right amount of coverage. I typically have to powder my T-zone a few times a day but with this product, I wanted to see how long it would take before I had to touch it up. After about 6 hours, the only part that was semi-oily were the corners of my nose but everywhere else stayed the same as when I first applied the foundation earlier in the day. I have not tried the foundation without the brush and because of the good results, I don’t plan on not using them together.
A few years ago, I was told my a makeup artist that as a woman grows older, its best to use soft matte eyeshadows verses shimmery because they tend to accentuate fine lines or wrinkles. So whenever I shop for eyeshadows, I keep that in mind. The Ombre Nudes Eye Palette consists of five brown-toned shadows, perfect for highlighting your eye color in a naturally toned way. Besides the pretty colors, the best part of this eyeshadow is I didn’t have any particle dusting under my eye!
So my dear readers, these are my new beauty finds and how it worked for me. I’d love to know if you have tried any products from the Becca line. Let me know by leaving a reply in the comment section.
