Summer Table Setting Inspiration: HOW TO CREATE A CUTE ‘PINEAPPLE & FLAMINGO’ TROPICAL TABLETOP FOR KIDS
With summertime here, it’s a no wonder why warm-inspired prints and patterns of pineapples and flamingos are making their way to tabletop decor. What inspired this cute tropical party tabletop setting is the gold foil pineapple cardstock, shown in these pictures. Using 12×12 cardstock makes perfect placemats for kids parties! I used this ‘gold pineapple scrapbook paper‘ to incorporate these classic summer themed trends – which dictated the rest of the tabletop decor. Themes shouldn’t be matchy-matchy…the ultimate goal is to have enough decor elements without overdoing it. Since flamingos mix perfectly with pineapples, I knew it would make for a whimsical tabletop and a fun summer celebration!
Simply set, I added these Meri Meri gold foil stripe paper cake plates. To that, I placed these fun ‘let’s party!’ beverage napkins that I picked up from TJMaxx. For a little fun and color, I completed the look by placing pink honeycomb flamingo party picks on the plate. I added a lemoncello almond candy to the end of the pick for a fun little treat as the kids gather at the table. As an alternative, these flamingo party picks can double up as a place card. Just use double-sided tape or a glue dot and adhere your name tag to the wood stick. To add more sparkle to the place setting, I used these glitz gold disposable flatware set. Place drinks in these milk bottles with gold dots and add a coordinating polka-dot gold and white paper straw.
Rather than placing a flower arrangement on the center of table, I decided for more drama and impact, I created a flower wall by using artificial tropical leaves (similar ones found, here) and pink peonies. We can’t forget about the favor bags for the kiddos! I found flamingo favor bags at TJMaxx but check out these DIY flamingo favor bags that look identical to the ones I bought!
Whether you’re hosting a luau, a tropical-themed celebration or even a summer pool party for your special girl, I hope you’ve been inspired to recreate the look by dressing the tabletop with these simple, pretty and stylish decor ideas! Flock to the fun and party like a pineapple!
Stay tuned, as I will be sharing an adult version of this themed tabletop!
