Wondering how I was able to pull this inspiration shoot after yesterday’s post? I had my partner’s help, of course! I was itching to do something creative and my partner actually suggested that I go for it because simply, it made me happy! My better half volunteered to collect and carry everything I needed so that I can put this holiday tabletop and dessert bar together. What would normally take me a few hours to complete, took me a weekend to pull off!

Are you gearing up for Valentine’s day? Get ready to celebrate all the amazing ladies in your life. Chocolates, champagne, blush roses & hydrangeas, and Valentine’s inspired candy, cupcakes & cookies, are a perfect excuse to celebrate Galentine’s day with your gals!
I set the table in this blush and gold color palette. Since Valentine’s is the last winter holiday before the spring season begins, I decided to add a touch of early spring by making a simple wreath for each dinner plate – using English Ivy. These personalized heart-shaped cookies by RPConfections were a great way to use as a name tag for each place setting and a sweet treat perfectly packaged for guests to take home. As a final touch, I took the cloth dinner napkins and folded them into a rose shape. You can check out this tutorial, here!
I decided to use these gold glitter ‘love’ cupcake toppers by Party Fix to hold a sour gummy lip and placed it on the rim of each champagne filled glass.
Lindt chocolate truffles were paired with heart-shaped marshmallows.
I was pretty satisfied that I was able to pull off making this blooming with love floral arrangement. To recreate this on your own, you will need the following:
- Roses (I chose white and blush colored ones)
- Hydrangeas (I was able to find these naturally blush and green ones)
- (1) Wet Foam block
- Depending on the size of your table, you can use either a medium-sized platter in a rectangle shape (as I did) or a large-sized one
- Let the wet foam block soak in water until the block submerges in the water on its own
- Remove the wet foam from the water and place it on the platter
- I started forming my arrangement by using the hydrangeas first. I removed the leaves off the hydrangea, cut the stem to size and inserted the first one on the bottom-end of the foam block. I placed two hydrangeas on each corner of the platter and then proceeded to insert them in the middle of the foam block as well.
- I then started to strategically fill the empty spaces with my roses. You will want to remove the leaves off the roses as well and cut to size.
- If you have large gaps of space in your arrangement, add more hydrangeas to fill it in
- I made sure that whatever I inserted in the front of the arrangement, I tried to mimic on the other side.
This adorable dessert bar was filled with an array of Valentine’s candy, delicious treats from chocolate truffles and decorated cookies & cupcakes to cherry topped brownies.
You can’t ever go wrong with Georgetown Cupcake! This ‘rose gold dozen’ is sure to be a crowd pleaser!!
My sweetheart actually made this Galentine’s inspired wreath by wrapping English Ivy around a wreath metal frame. This rose gold ‘Love’ balloon from West Side Apartment was attached to the middle of the wreath and small rose buds were cut and glued onto the wreath. My partner did a great job, wouldn’t you agree?! I say…good job, honey. We make a great team!
Minutes before your guests arrive, pop the chilled champagne and pour some in your champagne flutes. When your guests start to arrive, welcome each of them with a glass and let the soiree begin!
Add some color and flavor to your water by dropping in two fresh raspberries and mint!
These ombre ‘heart sugar cookies’ from PFConfections have such pretty embossed details!
I hope you’ve enjoyed my Galentine’s day entertaining tips and decorating ideas.
Cheers to girlfriends and Happy Galentine’s Day!!

I am so excited to share the swoon-worthy inspiration shoot that was perfectly captured by the talented Autumn Stankay of SkySight Photography!! After coming up with a design concept, Autumn picked a venue that couldn’t have been a better fit for this inspiration shoot. The grounds at the Blue Moon Barn and Covered Bridge set the tone for a stunning scenery for this summer garden party with its large weeping willow trees, a small stream creek and beautifully manicured landscaping. It was truly such a highlight to to have our little models (Addison Elizabeth, Laney Ruth, Livia Rose, and Josie June) be a part of this shoot and bring it to life. They brought so much joy and excitement! It was equally exciting to see Autumn catch all the playful details that turned this vision into one storybook-like party!
Enjoy the gallery that shows a glimpse inside the sweetest little girls party…“A Weeping Willow Summer Garden Party, featuring Flowers & Butterflies”
Our guests were greeted by flowered balloons and a welcome chalkboard sign leading them to the way of the party!
Happy to see each other, the girls arrive to the party and greet one another with one big hug!
A pathway was created by using white fences that directs the girls to the party table! A cluster of flowers were nestled in between the openings of the fences.
Pastel pink and mint green color combo was the inspiration for this ‘Flowers and Butterflies’ theme. Surrounded by elements of nature, the magical afternoon is created by the girls seating under a large weeping willow tree tuck perfectly into this setting. Delicate fabric pink butterflies were hung on the willow tree. The table is dressed with a pastel mint green fabric and accented with a sheer overlay designed with soft pastel colored flower petals, along with white garden chairs pulled up to the table.
Since it was a garden theme, these water cans were perfect to use on the table! I spray painted them in a mint green color and embellished the spout with pink rhinestones. Rolled napkins were inserted between the handle, decorated with a pink satin ribbon and joined with a single pink mum in the water can to welcome the girls as they gather.
Small white bird cages were the centerpiece for this table. Blushing bouquets of pink and white rose spray flowers dress the tablescape. Bright white dishes and large mint green butterflies adorn this garden setting.
A garden party combines a simple flurry of delicious sweet treats as part of the celebration! Our bar cart was filled with a variety of treats and sandwiches such as “Strawberry-filled Butterflies” and “PB&J Flowers”!
French Square Plastic Bottles were decorated with a satin ribbon and each polka dot straw was embellished with a paper butterfly.
The girls enjoyed the adorably handmade mini daisy sugar cookies by Sew la ti Dough Cookie Boutique.
It doesn’t get any cuter than this…these beautifully decorated Flower Cookie Pops by Lizy B’s Bakeshop were so much fun to eat!
Cheers! Cin Cin!
Why we can’t let these flowers go to waste… shall we accent our hair, girls!
After the girls ate and snacked, they gathered on the picnic blanket to make to their very own head crowns using a variety of satin ribbons, pearl strands and ribbon roses. I think this may have been one of their favorite parts as they intently designed and perfected their crowns!
After some fun and play, the girls headed for a little nature walk.
At the end of the party, each of the girls received their own personalized party favor pail filled with all types of butterfly and flower themed goodies to take home with them!
When it comes to summer entertaining for kids, nature is the best host around. We hope we have inspired you to bring a garden charm to your child’s next party with my super cute and totally easy to replicate ideas!

I’m excited to share this feature with you and reveal tips on how to host an at-home Easter tea gathering with your family or favorite gal pals! The details of this photoshoot was captured by the fabulous Autumn Stankay of SkySight Photography. So let’s dive right in, shall we!
The Easter holiday can be a bit tricky when it comes to the weather outside. It can either be a warm spring day or there is still a chill in the air, where it may be a bit too brisk to enjoy sitting outside. Therefore, I was inspired to create a spring look, indoors. The mood and palette of this tablescape design was inspired by the large (artificial) Boxwood ball that I purchased at HomeGoods. It served as the perfect accent piece and paired with freshly cut long-stem flowers, it evoked a springtime garden feel to this afternoon gathering.
I love an all-white tablescape, it brings a relaxed calmness to the table that feels light, delicate and airy, with a touch of femininity. By adding fun patterns like this white and gold polka dot dinnerware (also purchased at HomeGoods), it created a fun pop and a layered effect to the white polka dot fabric. Matching gold flatware was used for that added sparkle.
Added elements to the table like these cute Antiqued Ceramic Sitting Bunnies.
Placing your food items on a 3-tier tray is a perfect way to display your sweets, baked goods and tea sandwiches. It also saves room on the table to place other pretty things!
Used this Vintage Pastel Votive Holder to place jelly beans.
- Remember to prepare ahead of time as possible. By decorating the table and purchasing your baked goods & sweets one day before the event, you will have plenty of time to just prepare the tea sandwiches and cocktails the day of.
- Incorporate elements of the season into entertaining by bringing in some freshly cut seasonal blooms to capture the essence of spring. Try sticking to 1-2 colors for your color palette in the linens and table cloth. This will allow the food and surrounding elements on the table to remain the center of attention!
- Add a small quantity of Easter decor to your table as subtle accents.
- Purchase an array of baked goods from your favorite local bakery shop(s) and cut them in small pieces. A rule of thumb is a variety of scones, pastries and sweets.
- Make an assortment of finger sandwiches like Cranberry & Chicken Salad on wheat bread and Cucumbers & Garden Vegetable Cream Cheese on white bread. Remember to cut off the crust and cut into small dainty pieces. Make the sandwiches no more than an hour before serving and keep them wrapped in plastic wrap so that the bread remains moist.
- Delight your guests with some mini Easter bunny sugar cookies.
- Have a wonderful pot of freshly steeped tea, using loose-leaf teas such as Earl Grey, English Breakfast, Orange Pekoe, or Peppermint. And add a little flair to your table by adding sugar cubes.
- Create a cocktail that is light and refreshing like a Peach & Mango Bellini (1 oz of Peach Nectar, 1 oz of Mango Nectar, top off with chilled Prosecco, garnish with a slice of peach)
I found that planning an afternoon tea party for an at-home Easter celebration, or any occasion for that matter is the easiest to organize and host. So I hope this has inspired you to want to create your own Easter Tea gathering at-home or perhaps catch up with old friends and enjoy a relaxed afternoon over a cup of tea. As always, thanks for stopping by and reading! xo
