March 20th officially marks the change of seasons but with ‘Storm Stella’ looming around some of us in the East Coast, it doesn’t feel like spring is near. With the very cold temps outside, I craved a hot beverage to keep me warm. I whipped up my favorite Lavender Hot Chocolate recipe! To recreate this simple recipe, the two main ingredients I use are Silly Cow Chocolate Moo-usse Hot Chocolate and Pepper Creek Farms French Blue Lavender.

Naturally sweetened chocolate, infused with lavender buds, topped with whipped cream and chocolate shavings – makes this blended hot chocolate oh, so gourmet!

Create a Holiday Dessert Station: CHRISTMAS COOKIES & HOT COCO

Holiday Cookies and Hot Coco Bar

While visiting my sister in New Jersey this past weekend, we worked together to create this fun and festive set up that displays decorated Christmas cookies and hot chocolate. We decided to convert her front entrance foyer table as a holiday dessert station. It’s a great way to welcome guests as they come in from the cold and while their coats are taken to be hung, they instantly warm up as they are greeted in with a display of hot coco and cookies!

Holiday Dessert Station

We used a large square cake pedestal to display the larger decorated Christmas cookies and a smaller tray for the smaller-sized cookies. These cute deer dessert plates were laid out individually for guests to easily grab one to place their cookies on. I used one of my favorite recipes to make the hot chocolate that included flavored lavender milk. We topped half of the hot chocolate with these adorable “Marshmallow Snowman” and the other cups were topped off with whipped cream and mini gingerbread sprinkles.

Holiday Dessert Station

We added string lights and a welcoming blackboard sign.

Holiday Dessert Station

Whether you’re planning on a holiday dinner gathering with dessert after, a cookie exchange party or simply inviting your neighbors or friends for a holiday treat, set up a holiday dessert station instead of placing your items on the dinner table or kitchen island.  Add a few festive touches like seasonal flowers, trays, dishes and decor pieces, and you are set!

Warm & Cozy Treat: HOT CHOCOLATE WITH LAVENDER FLAVORED MILK AND A GINGERBREAD HOUSE MUG TOPPER

Warm & Cozy: Hot Chocolate with flavored Lavender Milk - topped with a Gingerbread House Mug Topper

I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday! The day after Thanksgiving, we headed to the tree farm to pick out a Christmas tree. I pretty much spent all day Saturday, getting the storage bins out of the basement and decorating parts of the house for the holidays. It never fails the mess that happens when going through all the bins of ornaments and Christmas decor but when it’s all done and the house is clean, its great to just sit back and enjoy watching the lights twinkle and breath in the fresh smell of evergreen.

Warm & Cozy: Hot Chocolate with flavored Lavender Milk - topped with a Gingerbread House Mug Topper

And that’s exactly what I did! I had the TV on and was watching a series of Christmas movies that were showing on the Hallmark channel and I poured myself a hot chocolate in my warm and cozy mug. Whether you’re making instant hot chocolate or homemade, I LOVE to kick it up with this flavored lavender milk recipe! I added some whipped cream, topped it off with some chocolate shavings and added this cute gingerbread house mug topper. You don’t need a side of cookies when you have this delicious treat!
