Happy Friday! What are your plans this weekend? The countdown begins for us as we head on vacation next week…can’t wait!
Well, it’s that time of week where I round up my favorite finds from around the web. This week’s finds range from home décor, an office essential and a couple of yummy looks treats.
How pretty is this Bert the Peacock Gold Spoon Rest? I would need a swoon-worthy kitchen to display such a grand-looking spoon rest so I’m thinking it would be pretty to display on a bar/bar cart and place chocolate truffles or mints. It would look great on a desk where you can house your gold paper clips or even display your business cards. How about using it as a catch all for your everyday jewelry? It’s pretty enough to just display as is, on a stack of books too. Oh, how I love the many uses!
I love white décor – bonus is when it is accented with a bit of gold. This Blanc Hobnail Tealight Holder with its milky white mercury finish is beautiful. Whether you have only one displayed on your coffee table tray or grouped together on a tablescape – the gorgeous finish would add just the right amount of chic.
As of late, I’ve been a fan of matches housed in pretty glass containers. Having matches conveniently displayed near your candle is ideal and it’s trending to be the décor essential for your home. I’m loving these Capri Blue Iridescent Matches. I think any of these bottles would look great on a tray that sits on kitchen counter or island. They could also be placed in a master bath or powder room.
If you follow me on Instagram, then you may recall when I post a pic of my wine bar cart. I had champagne gummies displayed – I’m such a fan of these candy treats. Well I just found these Merlot Wine Gummies and Rosé Wine Gummies! Guess who will be ordering these?!
You guys know how much I love hues of pink and blush. This Poppin Blush Retractable Gel Pen set might just have to have a new home on my office desk!
Happy Friday, friends! What are your plans this weekend? We had three days of warm weather this week and just like that, last night a gush of wind came through and a dusting of snow hit the ground. We are looking forward to spending our days in sunny Florida at the end of this month! Relaxing by the pool with our long time friends – sharing plenty of laughs, eating, and sipping libations is probably what our days will look like. Fun. Fun. Fun.
For this week’s ‘Friday’s Favorite Finds’ post, I’ve rounded up four finds that you may like…

I love a good bagel and this easy Bagel Brunch idea is fun idea for all you hostesses out there!
Found this decorative lumbar pillow at Target and it’s the exact color combination that we have in our living room. I sure am considering getting a pair of these as they would make a great addition to our accent chairs!
FRIDAY’S FAVORITE FINDS: Home Decor Accessories + The Food Mood Girl’s Guide to Transforming your Emotional Eating with recipes
Happy Friday, everyone! What are you guys up to this weekend? The weather has been so frigid this whole week. We literally have large chunks of ice cascading down the exterior of our entryway! Every morning when we open the door, we have to peek above the door to ensure the icicles that have formed into deadly daggers won’t come down and stab us in the head! We find ourselves breaking them morning and night…so looking forward to warmer temps this weekend – even if it’s only going to be in the 40’s.
For today’s post, I wanted to share a few of my favorite finds that include both home decor accessories and a new addition to our cookbook shelf that is so much more than just pages of recipes!
First up are these Project 62 – gold Taper Candle Holders! They come in various sizes, ranging from short, medium, and tall. The stature of these candle holders definitly creates an impact on this 8-seater dining table. I also like the contrast of the sleek gold metal against our Linear strand crystal chandelier – keeping it stylish and sophisticated! Surrounded by the cluster of candle holders is this gorgeous decorative bowl! When I first laid eyes on this Clarke Bowl, I knew it would be a great addition to our dining table.
This bowl is extremely large – it has a modern white glossy finish with a gold-rim base. It looks stunning with nothing in it but I’m already pondering on what I can put inside this bowl!
This glam scalloped jewelry tray is so stylish and versatile – it can be used to house just about anything! Since I already have a custom jewelry draw, for now – I chose to use this tray to hold our house/car keys and it’s large enough to hold other essentials like our sunglasses.
If you recall last week’s ‘Friday’s Favorite Finds’ post, I mentioned that I was invited to Lindsey Smith of Food Mood Girl cookbook launch. Nationally recognized author, health coach, speaker, and blogger spoke about her newly released ‘Eat your Feelings – The Food Mood Girl’s Guide to Transforming your Emotional Eating with recipes‘. Lindsey automatically grabbed my attention when she described why we emotionally eat, understanding our own food cravings (and what they really mean) and how we can then incorporate healthier substitutes. Finally! A way to decrease anxiety, enhance a mood, without the guilt!
Her guide has a chock full of helpful tips from…useful how-to’s, food definitions, benefits of certain spices, spice charts to help you create cultural culinary cuisines, how you can keep your pantry stocked with mood-boosting snacks, quick and easy recipes for every emotion you are feeling, and so much more! I had a brief chance to speak with the charismatic Lindsey – this is her third book and I really enjoyed hearing about her real life experiences and how she dealt with them by making better choices…“This is the only body and life you have, so LOVE IT UP the best you can” – (Food Girl Femifesto). A great read and resource guide to start out the New Year with!
Have a good one, guys!

Happy Friday, everyone! I was recently invited as a guest by Table Magazine to attend a release signing cookbook event by wellness coach and author, Lindsey Smith (stay tuned – I’ll be sharing a post on that next week!). As part of my ‘Friday’s Favorite Finds’ blog post series, I wanted to first share with you a few of my favorite finds from the beautifully curated shop the event was hosted at… House 15143, located in Sewickley, PA. After living in PA for nearly 10+ years, I have never visited this borough…shameful, isn’t it! Upon arriving to Sewickley village, I was impressed by the large beautiful homes (that’s the HGTV part of me) and the quaint downtown area filled with restaurants and boutique stores (I felt like I stepped into a Hallmark movie set!) I can’t wait to return to Sewickley because we went during the evening hours, so it was quite dark outside.
The lovely ladies, Danielle and Kristin are the owners of this stylish, chic and modern shop. I just love, love, love boutique stores that carry home decor, entertaining essentials and unique gifting and House 15143 was just that and more! If you’re looking for graphic art prints – look no further, they have a wide selection of prints to choose from that suit your personality. If you’re in need of something custom, no problem, they have an in-house graphic designer who can design and create it for you. In addition to the unique products they sell, they also offer decorating services and host cooking classes in their in-house kitchen, featuring local chefs and restaurants! If you live in the Pittsburgh or surrounding areas, you can view their upcoming events, here.
Check out below for my favorite finds that I purchased and a glimpse inside House 15143 via a video snippet I created, at the end of this post.
I was pretty obsessed with all the eye candy that surrounded me as I stepped foot into House 15143. The first thing I noticed was the large floor-to-ceiling display of luxury candles. You guys know how obsessed I am with scented soy candles, so it was no surprise that one of them was going home with me! As you’ve noticed from the pictures above, I snagged a few other items:
- Candle-Match Bottles. An apothecary jar with a built-in, strike-on-bottle design that also features a printed message on the bottle. I also a tall glass bottle with cork top that includes oversized candle matches. Pairing these candle match bottles with your scented candles is a convenient and beautiful way to display on your coffee table.
- A Luxury Scented Candle. There was a wide selection of fragrant candles to choose from and ultimately, I went with a Sydney Hale Co. candle. The scent reminds me of summers at the beach which was probably purposeful, since the name of the scent is ‘Sweet Water’! I’m looking forward to lighting this candle after the winter months have passed.
- Prosecco Cocktails Recipe Book. Since I love to entertain this cocktail recipe book is perfect for when hosting a brunch – after all Prosecco cocktails and brunch go hand-in-hand! I’ll be sure to share recipes with you on the blog so that you can try them at home too!
- Brass-plated Wine Bar Sign. I haven’t shared this with you yet but I have recently turned our bar cart into wine cart. When I saw this Wine Bar sign, I knew it would be a perfect addition to the bar cart. I’m going to have to think of a creative way of displaying it since it is meant to be screwed into a wall or cabinetry. Stay tuned for this!
- Tea Towel. With Valentine’s day just around the corner, I was smitten with the tea towel that an illustration of a tree with a red heart hanging from one of the branches. The message on the tea towel reads: ‘ love grows here’. I have another tea towel that was gifted with a purchase of Lyndsey’s cookbook. It read
- Wooden Serving Board. Ok, you guys, I’ve been searching high and low for a large wooden serving board and I was ecstatic when I saw this one! At-home entertaining just got more fun – look out for an epic charcuterie and cheese board…a future ‘how-to’ blog post! I can’t wait to use this massive woodend display board.
- Beverage Napkins. I collect a variety of bev napkins to have readily available for any occasion and I couldn’t resist the black and white stripe ‘Cheers’ ones that I picked up.
Whenever I can, I like to support local shops and I’m happy I found another store I foresee visiting frequently!

While practicality trumps all, pretty never hurts either…am I right? On occasion, when I find something on the web that catches my eye, I’ll save it to my pinterest board. It’s like online shopping, without the commitment – ha!
From home decor and entertaining essentials, to women’s fashion, I’ve rounded up a few of my current favorites, below.
