Hello friends! Welcome back to part 2 of our holiday home tour! If you missed part 1, you can see it, here. The space in our home I’ll be sharing today is our living room. If you follow me on instagram, I mentioned that I would be introducing a new color to our Christmas tree – if you guessed pink, you were right! I know my mom did – ha! Actually, it was late fall of last year that we stopped at Cracker Barrel to get something to eat when I noticed so many pretty pink ornaments and thought…well since we already have accents of blush in the living room space, why not?! Since we didn’t get to decorate a tree last year, I held onto the pink ornaments and used them this year. Pink must definitely be the Christmas color because they were everywhere! From ornaments and home decor accessories to table runners and tree skirts – I lucked out.
I found this DW scented candle from TJMaxx and when burned, the fragrance that permeates the air are cinnamon and vanilla.
Another HomeGoods find were these coasters designed with gold-foiled holiday messages.
Our local florist and friend, Gary put this pretty arrangement together for me. The arrangement was made with the pink color palette in mind, so he kept it primarily white blooms with just three pink florals. Some of the flowers in this pretty bunch are roses, football mums, ranunculus, and hydrangeas.
I found this blush pink tree skirt from HomeGoods and boy the fabric is the exact match from the large decorative pillow on the sofa. This was the first time I have ever decorated a tree with ribbon. I was so inspired by the oh so, creative bloggers; Inspired by Charm and Kelley Nan, that I had to give it a try.
Sshh…I may or may not have eaten a couple of santa’s cookies! A well-styled bar cart to welcome Santa (aka, my mate) includes these assorted sized pink beaded cone trees from Michaels and a floral arrangement.
Sugar Paper LA for Target is going three years strong with their white & gold rim boxes and holiday bags! Their tissue paper and ribbon matched perfectly with my color scheme.
As of late, H&M has been my go-to place to shop for dresses. This off-the-shoulder dress doesn’t show the true green hue, it is actually a deep forest green. I purchased this dress about a week prior to it being featured on Good Morning America for a ‘look for less segment’ from Meghan Markle’s fashion looks. I think with all the popularity, it seems the only dress color option online, is black.
Joann Fabrics had these faux snowed pink roses that came in a bouquet bunch. I pulled them off the stems and nestled them in place over the fresh christmas greenery. I added twinkle fairy lights to have the mantle sparkle during the evenings. I got a little creative and this DIY christmas stocking was pretty easy to decorate. I used the same Sugar Paper ribbon I had used to wrap the presents and used them here to create bows. Target had these large gold letters that were great way to identify which stocking belongs to who. I embellished the stocking with a bit of greenery to coordinate with the decorated mantel.
Pink and white wreaths with the same snowed rose flowers were hung on our two floor mirrors. I cut some of the same ribbon to hide the metal finish of the wreath hanger.
This my friends, concludes our 2017 holiday home tour! I hope you enjoyed seeing how I decorated our main living spaces this year. To see how I added a touch of Christmas to our bedroom, click, here. Now that we have finished decorating, we have been soaking it all in and enjoying each day we are blessed with. We look forward to hosting gatherings, sharing good times, and creating more holiday memories.

If you follow my blog, you may recall when I mentioned that I was on the hunt for a dress to wear for my engagement shoot – well I found not one but two dresses to wear so I thought I would share them with you – in the event you are looking for a dress to wear for a special event!
The location of the engagement session dictated the style of dress I was looking for and since we had decided on letting mother nature be the backdrop for the pictures, I wanted to wear a romantic flowing gown. Our photo session took place at a beautiful park that had both a large open field that allowed the sun to glow around us and tree-lined areas that were tucked away like a secret garden that gave off a more moody vibe.
The picture above shows the up-close details of the first dress I purchased. I had this dress hanging for a week in our bedroom before I finally got to wear it. Below are a few shots that were taken of just myself in the dress.
I decided that this Eliza J Belted Chiffon Maxi Dress in a soft shade of pink was a perfect dress to wear in the open field area of the park. With its romantic flowing gown and floral chiffon – it made me feel ultra feminine. I love that I can wear this dress again to a special summer event!
I found this navy blue long floor length ball gown at the Etsy shop of Atom Attire New York. Not only did I love the price but I absolutely loved how comfortable and versatile it is. If any bride-to-be readers are reading this post, consider this dress for your bridesmaids! They carry a variety of colors and it can be worn in so many different ways that compliment the body shape of each woman and her style preference. I styled the dress to be worn as a low cut neckline but I had contemplated to wear it as a one-shoulder style. The navy blue hue was a compliment to the moody forest-like area of the park.

Hey there, everyone! I’m happy to share with you the adorable pictures from a Kids Easter Party Inspiration Shoot that I styled a couple of weeks ago. A special thanks to SkySight Photography for capturing this shoot.
I had so much fun coming up with the design for this Easter inspiration. Simple, organic, natural with subtle easter treats make up for today’s inspired shoot. The backdrop for this tablescape is designed with a small wall installation filled with fresh green foliage, accented with subtle cream colored carnation buds. I kept the table neutral with a cream colored table linen to let the greenery stand out. A DIY centerpiece was created with white wood picket fences to hold floral + foliage to add to the spring garden look. Green moss place-mats and name tag holders, DIY Picnic Fence Baskets to replicate a ‘bunny in the garden’ are a few elements that added garden-like touches.
So hop on to it…check out the rest of the fun details and get ready for Easter! Enjoy!!
Thanks to all the sweet little kiddos for sharing this shoot with us! xo
