While practicality trumps all, pretty never hurts either…am I right? On occasion, when I find something on the web that catches my eye, I’ll save it to my pinterest board. It’s like online shopping, without the commitment – ha!
From home decor and entertaining essentials, to women’s fashion, I’ve rounded up a few of my current favorites, below.
If someone was to ask me what’s my favorite room of our house, I would have to say “our living room” and my second favorite is definitely the master bedroom! We have a few projects on our ‘wish list’ that we would like to tackle in the living room and hopefully can start by the end of this year. I love that our living room is wide in size – which helps in creating different zones and this is what we would like to achieve in the near future.
When you walk into our living room, you will always see a fresh flower arrangement taking center stage on a tray stationed on the ottoman. I’m pretty spoiled when it comes to being able to have fresh flowers every other week…it’s one of my guilty pleasures! Fresh blooms simply brightens my day, they never disappoint, they are perfection in every way and it adds such prettiness to any room. This week, I received a spring bouquet of pink tulips in different shades. I decided to not peel off all the leaves and didn’t cut the stem too low. I love when a floral arrangement is not too structured and when working with tulips, especially, I let its natural beauty flow freely as they perk up and point in different directions. I call it ‘dancing tulips’ as they appear to go where they want amongst each other. Oh, what boquet excitement!

Oh, the cuteness going on with this mother and daughter romantic clown costume and makeup is simply adorable!
Whether it’s home decor, clothes or makeup, I love it when my sister hands me her “I don’t want these anymore” items! Recently, she passed on to me three lipsticks (two of which are samples) that are a bit darker than what I typically wear – I usually stick to a nude lip but as the fall season approaches, I’ve decided to give them a try and see how I like them.
Le Marc Lip Crème Lipstick has a dark pink shade that I can easily wear anytime and not feel it’s too much color. The lipstick goes on really smooth and has pretty good staying power.
This has to be my favorite fall color lipgloss! I wear this lip gloss with my Mac ‘subculture’ lip liner and I think the reason why I love it is because when paired together, I get that nude mauve tone I’m used to but with a darker hue.
This lipgloss has a smooth matte finish and has a serious amount of staying power. I actually purchased this lip gloss and it is definitely intense in color with a deep berry stain. If you normally don’t wear dark colors, this dramatic lip color may be intimidating. However, if you are used to wearing dark lip colors, if worn with the right amount of makeup – it is a very alluring look! See the below pic for a makeup look that looks great with that dark berry hue!

This lipstick has to be my second favorite with its rich pop of color. It has a soft matte finish and a little goes on a long way.
Have you shopped yet for a new fall color lipstick? Will you wear dark lipstick this fall? Which is your favorite go-to color? Do share in the comments section below!
Have you purchased a lipstick and you like the color and everything else about it but wish it was a shade lighter? Here’s a makeup tip I will share with you that I do…simply dab on some concealer on your lip. Adding some concealer will tone down the shade. Sometimes, I also use concealer before applying some of my lipsticks so that the lipstick color stays on longer throughout the day.

A super-chic addition to your fall wardrobe, is the trending throwback vibe of the bell-sleeve blouse. I’m favoriting the romantic flowy take of the blouses fluid silhouette. You can style yours by dressing up straight-leg jeans or bring out the softer side with leather leggings.
