I recently featured on my insta story, these vintage light blue glasses that my mother bought for me while antiquing. She knows how much I adore colored glassware and my vintage glassware collection is ever-growing! The best part is my mom only paid $0.50 cents for each one!! Amazing, right?! I was inspired to create an outdoor summer tablescape using these glasses and since I do enjoy using my “nice dishes” on our outdoor dining table, I chose dinnerware that coordinated nicely. So today I wanted to share the details with you…
I decided to layer a simple white square dinner plate (that I wanted to serve as a charger) atop white bone china that has a light blue paisley motif. The dinner plate fit perfectly inside the circular indentation of the square plate. I decided against using my salad plates since it had the same design and I didn’t want to be too “matchy”, so I set them aside (In this instance, I would bring out the pre-plated salad to my guests.) As for the flatware, I added a bit of elegance with my striking gold place setting for that bit of sparkle.
Since my color scheme was blue, I knew the perfect flowers to adorn the center of the table would be blue hydrangeas! I was lucky that the grocery store had an abundance of fresh blue and white hydrangeas to choose from. I housed my cluster of arranged hydrangeas in this clear Serafina Vase that has a beautiful clear & white ombré effect!
Finally, I used my Calvin Klein painted floral dinner napkins in a coordinating blue. I pulled the napkins through my Oleg Cassini crystal napkin rings. To complete the look, I tucked some flower petals inside each napkin ring for a soft and delicate look.
I wanted the look of the table to be light and pretty like the soft clear blue skies and puffy white clouds. By keeping the table essentials monochromatic with the same tone-on-tone and a hint of gold because after all a bit of glamour never hurt anyone…I’m happy of the way it turned out and how airy it looked with the outdoor greenery as the backdrop! Hoping you are feeling inspired to create your own blue-inspired tablescape for summer entertaining!

If you haven’t read yesterday’s post, I rounded-up a mouth-watering collection of floral-inspired desserts to try for Mother’s day. Today, I’m sharing a cocktail that is also floral-inspired. Roses are meant to symbolize LOVE and that was the reason behind sharing my cocktail recipe to be served on Mother’s day.
If you’re hosting a Mother’s day brunch, make it fancier by treating mom to my ‘Vanilla Pink Rose’ cocktail…perfectly paired with one of these floral-inspired desserts! A dash of rose water to the cocktail mix, a drop of pink food coloring, and garnish with an edible rose petal – transforms the appearance of this cocktail to a dainty and may I add, girly one..a beautifully simple and sweet cocktail for spring! My recipe can also be served alone as a dessert cocktail. If you’re going to serve it like this, than do what I did…in these pictures, I actually used my mini coupe glasses!
This refreshing cocktail is sweet but light and tastes even better when you pre-mix. Let the chocolate bean flavor with vanilla scent of the Creme de Cacao, the creamy flavor of the Whipped Vodka and dash of rose water combine longer.

If someone was to ask me what’s my favorite room of our house, I would have to say “our living room” and my second favorite is definitely the master bedroom! We have a few projects on our ‘wish list’ that we would like to tackle in the living room and hopefully can start by the end of this year. I love that our living room is wide in size – which helps in creating different zones and this is what we would like to achieve in the near future.
When you walk into our living room, you will always see a fresh flower arrangement taking center stage on a tray stationed on the ottoman. I’m pretty spoiled when it comes to being able to have fresh flowers every other week…it’s one of my guilty pleasures! Fresh blooms simply brightens my day, they never disappoint, they are perfection in every way and it adds such prettiness to any room. This week, I received a spring bouquet of pink tulips in different shades. I decided to not peel off all the leaves and didn’t cut the stem too low. I love when a floral arrangement is not too structured and when working with tulips, especially, I let its natural beauty flow freely as they perk up and point in different directions. I call it ‘dancing tulips’ as they appear to go where they want amongst each other. Oh, what boquet excitement!

I came across these pictures in my photo library and noticed I never posted about this Easter tablescape! So of course, I had to share a little of what I created here.
This tabletop is perfect for an Easter brunch or luncheon celebration! My inspiration came from an array of tulips I had picked up at the grocery store. A large centerpiece filled with an abundance of light pink, dark pink, and white tulips adorned the table. I dressed the table with a neutral colored table linen – in a light taupe, I then layered it with white & gold polka dot placemats and napkins, I chose coordinating colors for the dinnerware and flatware. I added my vintage gold-rimmed teacups and blush glassware to complete the look. I ran two pieces of pink satin ribbon along the center of the table – this was to mimic a table runner so that I can use the center of the table to display my candy dishes and tea candle holders. To coordinate with that, I tied a piece of ribbon around each dinner napkin.
I love how it turned out…it’s such a sweet and festive way to celebrate the Easter holiday.
