I love any food that includes bananas and coconut so when I recently viewed this video of a “Chunky Monkey Banana Toast” recipe, I knew I had to try it!
It was really good that I thought I would try something different and switch up some of the ingredients they used. I substituted the Peanut Butter for Nutella, used Honey instead of Maple Syrup and since I didn’t have gluten free bread, I toasted an English Muffin.
It is sooo darn good!!! The caramelized bananas that have broiled in the oven taste so similar to a scrumptious banana foster dessert. Pair the sweetness of the banana with nutella and this can either be served for breakfast with coffee, or enjoyed as an afternoon or late night dessert!
To make my caramelized banana with Nutella recipe, use the following ingredients:
- English Muffin, toasted
- 2 bananas, broiled
- Coconut Oil
- Sweetened Coconut Flakes
Yield: 2 servings
